The political thriller Anniversary, starring Phoebe Dynevor (known from Bridgerton), is now available on Netflix. The movie, which has been described as captivating and suspenseful, was released in theaters a few months ago and just became available for streaming today.
I just finished watching this incredible thriller directed by Jan Komasa, and it really got to me. It centers around the Taylor family – they’re super close at the beginning, but everything starts falling apart when they get caught up in this powerful, new political movement called “The Change.” It’s a wild ride!
When Josh Taylor (Dylan O’Brien) brings home his new girlfriend, Liz (Dynevor), his family gets a bad feeling about her and starts to question her intentions.
What to Read Next
When a couple meets their son’s distant and driven new girlfriend, their family begins to unravel as she launches a controversial political movement that gains traction across the country.
I’m so excited about this cast! Diane Lane and Kyle Chandler are playing Josh’s parents, Ellen and Paul, which is perfect – they’re both amazing actors. And it’s cool to see Zoey Deutch, who I loved in Zombieland: Double Tap, and Madeline Brewer, who’s fantastic in The Handmaid’s Tale, joining the project too!

The film also features Mckenna Grace, known for her role in Regretting You, Sky Yang from Holding, and Daryl McCormack, who appears in The Wheel of Time.
Critics generally liked the film, and it currently has a 66% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 64 reviews.
According to The Hollywood Outsider, Jan Komasa’s new film, Anniversary, is a powerful and moving story that’s both relevant and brave – and it’s easily one of the year’s most compelling and insightful movies.

FilmWeek praised the movie, saying it completely captivated them and kept them on the edge of their seat. Awards Radar called ‘Anniversary’ a frightening and relevant thriller that feels like a warning about the future.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film creates a sense of dread through its close focus on the characters, who are brought to life with compelling writing and remarkably charismatic, yet unsettling, performances from the cast.
According to IndieWire, while the film is a tightly paced and well-acted thriller, its depiction of corporate control feels too simple to truly capture the disturbing reality of totalitarianism.
Anniversary is now streaming on Netflix.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Taylor Swift, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or online for only £8.99.
