Chris Evans might need some new superhero gear for his next gig. Perhaps a supercharged stroller?
Chris Evans, 44, and his wife, Alba Baptista, 28, recently welcomed their first child, a daughter named Alma Grace Baptista Evans. The baby was born in Massachusetts, where Evans grew up, according to People magazine.

Chris Evans, known for playing Captain America, has shared that he’s not currently planning to reprise the role in Marvel movies because he wants to spend more time with his wife, Alba Baptista.
Requests for comment sent to representatives for Evans and Baptista on Tuesday were not immediately returned.
Chris Evans and Alba Baptista started dating around 2021 and got married in 2023 with two wedding celebrations – one in Cape Cod and another in Portugal. Evans shared the news during a panel at New York Comic Con. According to Page Six, several of his Marvel co-stars, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Scarlett Johansson, were guests at the East Coast wedding.
At the Comic Con panel, Evans described the event as “wonderful and beautiful,” and shared that he and his partner were glad to be relaxing after a busy time.
He admitted that wedding planning was exhausting. For those who’ve been married, he said, they understand how draining it can be. Now that the wedding is over, they’re simply enjoying life and looking forward to autumn, which he loves. He described it as a wonderful time of year, and they’re taking the opportunity to relax, reflect, and savor the moment.

Last year, Chris Evans told “Access Hollywood” he really wanted to be a dad, and hoped to be as good at it as his “The Red One” co-star, Dwayne Johnson.
“The title of ‘dad’ is an exciting one,” the actor said.
After handing off the Captain America shield to Anthony Mackie in the 2019 film “Avengers: Endgame,” Chris Evans has been focusing on more artistic and challenging projects. These include the acclaimed romance “Materialists” directed by Celine Song, and the darkly comedic detective film “Honey Don’t” by Ethan Coen.
Even though the source himself has indicated it, many dedicated Marvel fans don’t believe Chris Evans is finished playing Captain America. They’ll find out for sure in December when “Avengers: Doomsday” is released.

She’s set to appear in the upcoming A24 film “Mother Mary,” which boasts original music by Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff, and stars FKA Twigs and Hunter Schafer (known from “Euphoria”).
