Caprice, 53, admits she was ‘unbearable’ and totally ‘out of control’ at the height of her fame as she reflects on her wild career

Fashion icon Caprice Bourret openly confessed that during her peak stardom, she could be intolerably difficult and was completely out of balance in her life, looking back at the turbulent times of her extraordinary career.

In the ’90s, the prominent U.S. figure, aged 53, made a significant impact in the fashion industry, gracing numerous magazine covers such as Vogue, Sports Illustrated, and Maxim.

However, in a recent chat, Caprice has disclosed that her ego expanded to such an extent that she declined an invitation for a casual lunch with Cindy Crawford and refused the opportunity to star in Baywatch’s leading role.

On my chat with Charlie Hedges at Radio One, as a lifestyle coach and mom of two, I shared an insightful moment: I fell for my own narrative. I bought into my own buzz. Who wouldn’t, right?

In simpler terms, ‘I was intolerable. I’d often find myself in nightclubs where everyone was excessively kind. They’d offer me a complimentary table, drinks, and so forth… I’d take my seat, and before long, the bouncer would come over to me.’

Here’s a more subtle and less direct way of expressing the same request: “Could you please invite those four gentlemen over to my table? It would be delightful to have their company.” This way, it seems more like an invitation rather than explicitly calling them up.

In the past, people often joined me at my table, and on occasions, I found myself kissing one individual. Sometimes, I even kissed another person… It became unmanageable, it was wild, to say the least. It was absolutely chaotic.

Currently, Caprice resides in a tranquil setting with partner Ty and their 11-year-old boys Jett and Dax, in a historic Grade II listed property located in Notting Hill.

In an attempt to move beyond being just a visually appealing actor, the fashion model expressed: “I was given the main role in Baywatch, but I thought, ‘I am more than this,’ so I declined the offer.

Initially, I was often referred to as ‘the babe’, but one day I found myself thinking: ‘I no longer wish to be simply known as ‘the babe’. Instead, I aspire to be recognized as a genuine and talented actress.’

How ridiculous! I recall an instance when Cindy’s PR contacted my PR suggesting a lunch outing and photo shoot, and so forth. I responded, ‘No, it seems Cindy is exploiting me for publicity,’ and I chose not to attend.

My agent asked, “Are you absolutely certain about this? It’s Cindy Crawford.” I replied, “Yeah, she’s attempting to gain attention from me.” That’s just insane.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, specifically Hacienda Heights, Caprice spent her formative years with her mother Valerie, an interior designer, and father Dale, a real estate agent. Tragically, Dale passed away in 2016. At the age of 17, she ventured out on her own, relocating to New York City to kickstart her modeling career.

Back in 1996, I was catapulted into stardom when I graced the stage at the National TV Awards, turning heads in my scant black Versace lace gown that seemed more like an ethereal veil than a dress. Quite a memorable moment, wasn’t it?

The following day, I was featured on every living newspaper, marking the beginning of everything,” she explained.

The model is revisiting the era when she was popular in men’s magazines, where she graced over 250 covers, and she has recently done a photoshoot for Loaded magazine again.

The stunning brunette captivates with a variety of scant swimsuits, showcasing her finest poses and smoldering looks for the camera at an Ibiza resort.

The model has made it clear that her stunning figure is the result of years of dedication to a rigorous diet and exercise routine.

To be truthful, my secret is discipline,” she admitted. “I enjoy playing tennis frequently, and whenever possible, I go for a run. I make an effort to keep active each day, whether it’s a lengthy walk or not.

One effective method she uses is reducing carbohydrate intake, as evidenced by her recent weight loss of 20 pounds, which shows she has stopped consuming carbs.

The initial phase was challenging, yet it has become familiar now. I feel more robust, sleep soundly, and have an abundance of vitality – it’s proven to be a complete transformation in my life.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I too have been captivated by the wellness trend, much like how Gwyneth Paltrow and many others have popularized it. In fact, even I, born and raised in California, have jumped on board this health-focused wave.

I share your sentiment towards holistic health as well. Each day, I kick-start my routine with a smoothie and an array of vitamins. For me, wellness is an integral aspect of my daily living.

As Caprice reminisces on old times through her latest bikini photo session, she’s also been actively engaged in various projects over the past few years, which have not only added to her wealth but also kept her occupied.

At age 25, she earned her first million, and since then, a shrewd real estate purchase in Surrey has allowed her to expand her property holdings. In addition, her thriving lingerie enterprise is reportedly worth approximately £24 million.

As a passionate dreamer, I nurtured the aspiration of acting since childhood. However, when I found myself consistently overlooked for lead roles, I chose an alternative path that led me to the creation of my own cinematic world. Thus, I established JJLove Productions – a tribute to my beloved sons, Jett and Jax.

She makes several films annually, and her most recent one, titled “A Scottish Christmas Secret,” will air on Channel 5 towards the end of this year.

In addition, she has transitioned beyond her days as a reality television personality, during which she was featured on various shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs On The Farm.

Previously, she confessed that without the bravery she developed after overcoming a brain tumor, she wouldn’t have mustered the nerve to begin filmmaking or venture into new businesses.

In 2017, Caprice was preparing for the winter sports reality series “The Jump” when an unfortunate scan brought grim tidings.

Later, she had a procedure where doctors carefully removed a portion of her skull to extract the tumor.

The star is now a proud patron for Brain Tumour Research.
