Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is Also Skipping Xbox For Some Reason

As a veteran gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of disappointment upon hearing about Capcom Fighting Collection 2. Having grown up playing these iconic fighting games on various consoles, it’s disheartening to see yet another collection skip the Xbox platform.

Capcom has unveiled Capcom Fighting Collection 2, a sequel to the initial Capcom Fighting Collection that was released in 2022 and featured ten arcade favorites. Unlike its predecessor, which was available on Xbox, this new collection won’t be making an appearance on that platform.

This upcoming year, the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will be available on PS4, Switch, and PC. Inside this compilation, you’ll find eight classic Capcom games from their impressive library, such as Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Project Justice (Rival Schools 2), Power Stone, Power Stone 2, and Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein.

For enthusiasts of Capcom’s classic fighting games who were anticipating potential new releases on Xbox, the recent absence of Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics from the platform may signal a concerning trend. However, if Microsoft manages to resolve this issue, it could potentially turn things around.

2025 marks the anticipated launch of Capcom Fighting Collection 2. Here’s to hoping that someday, both this set and the Marvel vs. Capcom series become available on Xbox. Keep your fingers crossed!
