Canadian Mom Arrested Again in Shocking $140K Taylor Swift Ticket Scam!

A Canadian female, previously charged for deceiving Taylor Swift concert-goers by selling fake tickets to her 2022 Eras Tour performances in Toronto, now faces additional criminal allegations, according to DailyMail.com.

On Thursday, March 20, Denise Cynthia Tisor was taken into custody for the second time, following an inquiry conducted by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), regarding a deceitful ticket scam that resulted in fans losing approximately $140,000 Canadian Dollars.

As a lifestyle advisor speaking here, I’d like to share an update on a recent development. A 44-year-old single mother, who was previously implicated in the concert ticket scam case last November, now finds herself confronting more serious allegations. These include charges of fraud exceeding $5,000, illegal possession of property valued above $5,000 that was obtained illegally, and money laundering. It’s crucial to remember that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Alongside her suspected partner David Lloyd Blake, aged 56, both have faced charges related to unlawful possession of property worth more than $5,000 and money laundering.

On Thursday, I found myself standing outside a residence in Burlington, Ontario – roughly 35 miles west of Toronto – as the authorities carried out a search warrant. As an ardent enthusiast, my heart raced with excitement as investigators confiscated four laptops, a tablet, four mobile phones, and stacks of printed documents from within this crime scene.

Tisor and Blake were taken into custody during the search, but are currently out on bail awaiting their respective court dates.

During the duration of their probe initiated in November, authorities reportedly received 75 complaints, which they later verified as 55 instances of fraud. These incidents resulted in a total loss of approximately $140,000, as stated by HRPS.

Over a period of two weekends, from November 14th to the 16th, and then from the 21st to the 23rd, Swift held six concerts at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.

It’s stated that Tisor allegedly advertised Eras Tour tickets on Facebook Marketplace as early as August 2023, under the pseudonym Denise Blackhawk.

Once the purchaser agrees with Tisor’s given price, they will send the complete payment digitally.

When fans asked about collecting their tickets, Tisor told them they couldn’t access them until a few days prior to the event. Unfortunately, it was later discovered that the tickets had mysteriously vanished.

According to the police, when fans requested their money back from Tisor, she asserted that the money was previously forwarded to a person known as Mark Harlow, who later vanished.

On November 25th, Tisor was apprehended for charges that included fraud exceeding $5,000, possession of goods derived from a criminal act worth more than $5,000, as well as 32 instances each of fraud below $5,000 and possession of property obtained illegally under the same amount.

At that point in time, Toronto police announced that they had found 28 individuals who had been tricked into losing a combined total of $70,000 from fraudulent ticket sales.

On January 15th, Tisor faced additional accusations – specifically, eight charges for fraudulent activities under $5,000 and eight charges for illegal possession of property valued below $5,000 – as the Toronto Police further scrutinized the case.

The authorities apprehended Blake and accused him of possessing 19 items worth more than $5,000 that he got illegally.

On March 13, Tisor made a virtual court appearance in Bradford, Ontario, regarding an additional allegation of fraud that does not exceed $5,000.

In an interview with CTV News last November, Tisor admitted that she, just like many others, fell victim to the scam and subsequently filed a police complaint. However, her legal representative, Kim Edward, chose not to provide a statement on the matter.

Living in Burlington, Lianne Batista stated that she transferred approximately 2,000 Canadian dollars to Tisor for the purpose of purchasing concert tickets for herself and her daughter Teagan to attend Taylor Swift’s show on November 23rd.

She expressed the wish that Taylor’s song ‘Karma’ continuously loops in her mind, forever, in a Facebook post.
