During her European vacation, Domenica Calarco from Married At First Sight faced criticism for an action deemed disrespectful.
A well-known influencer, aged 31, recently posted a video on Instagram from her trip to Vatican City, which she had visited earlier in the week.
In a white gown and sandals, the ex-TV bride gave her followers a glimpse of the stunning artwork adorning the walls and ceilings while exploring the Sistine Chapel.
However, spectators swiftly criticized her for capturing video within the chapel, an area that prohibits photography.
One fan wrote, “I’m sorry, Dom, but this behavior is incredibly disrespectful. I can’t fathom why you’d do something like this, given your strong pride in being Italian.”
When they tell you not to film but you go ahead because, well, you think you’re an exception. Another way of putting it might be: They forbid filming, but you disregard the rule, considering yourself unique in some way.

Domenica then admitted she ‘hid her phone inside her bag’ but was told to stop filming by guards.
She shared that she had a conversation with the security personnel following the incident, who mentioned that taking photographs could congest the area as their reason for not allowing it. However, she accepted this explanation.
The chapel boasts well-known frescoes adorning its ceiling, masterfully created by the renowned Renaissance artist, Michelangelo.
For several decades now, taking photographs or videos has not been allowed inside the Sistine Chapel.
The backlash comes after Domenica announced her podcast with fellow MAFS alum Ella Ding will come to an end.
On Wednesday, the duo announced the news on their official Facebook page, accompanied by a touching message of explanation.

‘Ella and I have come to a joint decision: it is the right time for Sit With Us to come to an end.

The joy we’ve experienced throughout this journey has been truly unforgettable, and yet, turning the page on this chapter brings a mix of sweet and bitter emotions.
‘However, we believe it is the best step forward for both of us,’ she continued.

Domenica concluded the message with an optimistic outlook for the future.
