Cameron Diaz’s comeback movie is now available to watch on Netflix
After a delay from its initial release in November, Cameron Diaz’s new film titled “Back in Action” is now available to stream on Netflix.
11 years following her role in the 2014 film “Annie”, Diaz will share the screen with Jamie Foxx in an action-comedy directed by and co-written by Seth Gordon.
In this movie, the actress known for her role in Charlie’s Angels is paired with Jamie Foxx, portraying characters named Emily and Matt. These two individuals were once CIA agents, but after their undercover identities were revealed, they are forced to return to their espionage careers.
If you find the concept appealing or if you’ve been yearning for Diaz’s vivaciousness, you can watch “Back in Action” starting today (January 17) on Netflix.
Diaz, Foxx, and several other notable actors make up the cast. The film also features Glenn Close portraying Emily’s mother Ginny, Kyle Chandler as Chuck, a friend of the couple, and Andrew Scott playing Baron, along with Jamie Demetriou as Nigel from Fleabag.
It appears that Diaz is here to stay, given she’s slated to be part of Jonah Hill’s upcoming comedy titled “Outcome.” This movie boasts an impressive lineup including Keanu Reeves, Matt Bomer, Laverne Cox, Kaia Gerber, among others.
Instead, it seems that Diaz’s most eagerly awaited character may be Fiona, a role she will once again play in the long-anticipated fifth installment of the animated series, Shrek.
Slated for release in December 2026, the fifth installment of the popular fantasy-comedy series finds Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy reprising their roles as the voice actors for the main characters, Shrek the green ogre and his faithful companion Donkey, respectively.
Back in Action is available to watch now on Netflix.
