On Tuesday, Cameron Diaz was seen filming a tense scene for her new action comedy, “Bad Day in New Jersey.”
The actress, 53, was recently seen filming a scene at a gas station with her co-star, Rhenzy Feliz. This outing happened shortly after she was spotted enjoying time with her husband, Benji Madden.
Filming for the new Netflix movie started last month. Jake Szymanski is directing, and Lauren Solon wrote the script.
Diaz dressed down in a relaxed outfit featuring a plaid shirt, classic jeans, and a green jacket.
She finished her outfit with white sneakers and casually held her phone in her right hand.
The actress from Charlie’s Angels had a tan purse slung over her shoulder, and her blonde hair cascaded down her back.

Oh my gosh, she was so casual but still totally stunning! I noticed she was wearing simple denim shorts with this plain white tee, and then she just threw on a red sweatshirt over it. It was the most perfect, effortlessly cool look, honestly!
Oh my god, he just *completed* the look! He added this amazing sleeveless camo puffer vest – seriously, it was perfect – and finished it off with these cool gray sneakers. I’m telling you, everything he wears is just… *chef’s kiss*.
Diaz and Feliz were filming a scene where they drove up to a gas station in an older, red Volvo.
The actress got out of the car and quickly had an intense conversation with Feliz.
He pointed towards the street with an uplifted arm, but Diaz remained serious.
Between filming scenes, the two actors were cheerful and chatted easily. Feliz was also spotted with a carrot, which he was using as a prop.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diaz will star in the upcoming Netflix action comedy, Bad Day. This news was first reported in July.
Szymanski is directing a new movie. He’s previously worked on projects like the 2023 miniseries *Jury Duty* and the 2016 comedy *Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates*.

According to IMDB, the movie Bad Day centers around a mother trying to keep a simple promise to her daughter while dealing with an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking day.
In addition to Rita Moreno, Melissa Diaz, and Daphne Feliz, Danielle Brooks and Ed O’Neill are also part of the film’s cast.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie Bad Day is a comedic take on the 1993 film Falling Down, which starred Michael Douglas.
Cameron Diaz stepped away from acting for ten years, but she recently returned with the Netflix movie *Back In Action*, which came out in January.
The film had also cast Jamie Foxx, Andrew Scott, Kyle Chandler and Glenn Close.
The mom-of-two previously credited Foxx to bringing her back to the big screen.
She shared on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year that she was able to return thanks to Jamie.
For ten years, I was completely disengaged and avoided any new opportunities. Then, I received this script and felt like it might be the right time for a change.

Cameron Diaz, known for movies like *The Mask* and *The Holiday*, explained that if she was going to spend ten hours a day away from her family, she wanted to work with the best in the business.
She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to make movies, saying how fortunate everyone involved is. She also shared how thrilled she was to be working again after a ten-year break.
Those ten years were wonderful for my family and me, but I realized that if I didn’t try to recapture that feeling, if I didn’t get involved again, and if I didn’t give it another chance, I’d be making a mistake.
She added, ‘It might be the beginning of something, but its here now and I am grateful for it.’
Cameron Diaz married musician Benji Madden in 2015, and they have two children: a five-year-old daughter named Raddix and a one-year-old son named Cardinal.

Cameron Diaz recently shared on the Skip Intro podcast that returning to a movie set after ten years felt surprisingly natural, like she hadn’t been away at all.
‘It’s like riding a bike, you know what I mean?’ the star expressed.
Returning to a past project means you won’t have to consciously focus on many of the details – it’s like muscle memory taking over.
Diaz explained that she felt comfortable on set, saying, ‘I just knew what I was doing – how to stand and what to ask the camera operator.’ It all felt very natural to her.
