On a less formal note, Cameron Diaz appeared genuinely affectionate as she spent quality time with her oldest child during a recent public appearance this week.

On a recent Wednesday, the 53-year-old actress was seen strolling through New York City with her five-year-old child, Raddix Madden.

She held Raddix near, with the young girl sitting alongside, on a vibrant purple scooter that sported a fiery hot pink helmet.

Cameron was holding onto Raddix’s handlebars, with both of them being careful, as they navigated their way across the road, a scene reminiscent of a mother and daughter teaming up.

For their afternoon outing, the actress from Charlie’s Angels chose a feminine ensemble for her child, including vibrant pink leggings and a lively, printed dress.

Later, Cameron, spotted with her baby not long ago, opted for a laid-back look in a matching denim ensemble and white trainers.

The Bad Teacher actress’ signature blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail and she wore glasses. 

Cameron also has a one-year-old son, Cardinal Madden, whom she shares with her long-term partner Benji Madden, who is 46 years old.

She and the hunky 46-year-old rocker wed back in January 2015 after less than a year of dating.

In the year 2014, Cameron elected to pause her active involvement in Hollywood acting so she could concentrate on starting a family with Madden.

The couple welcomed daughter Raddix five years later on December 30, 2019. 

On March 22, 2024, Cameron and Benji astonished their fans with the news of the birth of their baby boy, Cardinal, who is currently one year old.

As a devoted admirer, I’ve observed that while she maintains a degree of privacy about her family matters, Cameron has openly shared her journey into motherhood, having become a mom later in her life and welcoming a child in her forties.

In 2020, the celebrity expressed to Naomi Campbell that when one reaches my age, choosing to do something becomes a significant decision.

It requires quite an effort, but honestly, I don’t feel much pressure. In fact, it feels like I need to stick around for another 107 years or so!

That same year, Cameron called motherhood the ‘best part of [her] life.’

In a post on social media in 2020, she shared that becoming a mother is the most remarkable experience of her life. She expressed deep gratitude and immense happiness about it, stating that it’s an extraordinary blessing to be able to raise Benji as her child, and they are truly enjoying this wonderful journey together.

Cameron added: ‘It’s so great. I’m just thrilled.’

As for Cameron’s marriage, Benji recently provided rare insight on their decade-long love story.

In March 2025, he made the revelation on Rob Lowe’s SiriusXM podcast “Literally!” alongside his twin brother Joel, aged 46, where they discussed aspects of their individual marriages.

Benji and Joel, husband to the well-known figure Nicole Richie from “The Simple Life,” confessed that they feel apprehensive about their robust spouses. In simpler terms, they expressed concerns over their wives’ strength.

Benji added that they fear their partners ‘in the best way.’

Benji made it clear, “Challenge my spouse? You’ve got a tough road ahead. I wouldn’t even bother stepping in myself.” (In this version, the sentence structure has been simplified and made more conversational.)

In early January, Benji paid a heartfelt homage to Cameron on their 10th wedding anniversary by taking a seldom-taken selfie together.

The Mask actress cozied up next to the musician as he sweetly called her his ‘best friend.’

Madden uploaded a photo of both himself and Cameron as they took the snap outdoors.

Following a ten-year break from acting, she reemerged into the limelight in 2024, featuring opposite Jamie Foxx in the Netflix action-comedy film titled “Back In Action”. This movie premiered in January 2025.

Diaz returned to acting, motivated by Foxx, and during an interview with Graham Norton this year, she shared that after a decade of ignoring offers, she finally found a compelling script which made her consider returning to work again.

If I needed to be away from my family for 10 hours daily, I desired to spend that time with the most gifted individual in the entertainment industry.

She conveyed her appreciation for continuing to work in the film industry by saying: ‘It’s an honor to create movies, and I feel fortunate to be part of this field. The fact that I had the opportunity to enter it again after ten years is simply astounding.’

During the past ten years, my family and I cherished those moments deeply. Yet, a thought crossed my mind: “If I ignore this opportunity, if I don’t re-engage, and if I don’t take a risk, I would be missing out.” It could lead to something new and exciting, but it’s here now, and I’m thankful for its presence.
