Calling all Spider-Man fans! The new movie has just got an exciting filming update
The latest installment of “Spider-Man: A Fresh Start” is gearing up for some thrilling changes, as production is set to begin within a few months.
Tom Holland will once again take on the part of the web-swinging superhero in the fourth movie set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story continues where Spider-Man: No Way Home, released in 2021, left off.
Following the announcement of its release date and title earlier this year, “Brand New Day” has made another positive stride. According to a report by The Herald, filming will commence in Glasgow, Scotland in August. Additionally, ScreenDaily has shared that preparations for production are already underway at Pinewood Studios.

The recent progress mirrors remarks earlier made by Holland, who expressed his eagerness back in October to start shooting the highly anticipated project as early as the summer of 2025. Remarkably, he also stated that everything was all set for the production.
The movie set for release has experienced some backstage alterations. Now, Destin Daniel Cretton takes over from Jon Watts as director, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas have been brought on board to join the cast alongside Holland and his team.
While the exact details remain undisclosed, Holland hinted at elements of the narrative, describing it as an unconventional concept and something distinct from what has been presented before. Fans are expected to find it intriguing based on his remarks.
Earlier, the actor shared that he and his co-star and partner, Zendaya, had both gone through the script together. He praised the screenwriters for their work, saying it was impressive, and added that the story’s subject matter had sparked a strong interest in them, with them discussing various ideas while moving around their living room.
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to see Holland and Zendaya showing such passion for our shared project. And here’s some exciting news: Andrew Garfield, who played Spider-Man so brilliantly in No Way Home, has hinted he might return to the role! He’s open to it, but only if it’s a unique, offbeat project that catches his eye. Fingers crossed for something spectacular!
The actor expressed that he greatly enjoys playing Spider-Man, and if given the chance, he’d be thrilled to portray the character once more in some fashion. However, he believes it could feel quite unusual or peculiar. He desires to do something exceptionally unique, offbeat, and unexpected, with a focus on creative independence.
Spider-Man: Brand New Home is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 31 July, 2026.
