Call the Midwife shares exciting series 14 update from set
As a seasoned gamer of life, who’s been through the highs and lows of BBC’s period dramas, I must say, the news about Call the Midwife season 14 is music to my ears! With its authentic narrative, heart-warming moments, and the occasional tear-jerker, it’s been a constant in my weekly viewing schedule.
The show “Call the Midwife” recently shared some exclusive backstage insights about the forthcoming Season 14, slated for broadcast next year.
A cherished BBC period series recently shared a picture from the set of its upcoming season on Instagram. The photo captures Nurse Crane (played by Linda Bassett), Shelagh Turner (portrayed by Laura Main), and Sister Monica Joan (acted by Judy Parfitt) engaging in some playful antics, with Trixie Franklin (Helen George) appearing thoughtful in the backdrop.
In the title, it’s been announced that Call the Midwife is nearing completion of filming for a fresh set of episodes.
As the evenings grow chillier with Autumn in full swing at Call the Midwife, it signifies that only a few weeks of filming remain for Series 14. Once those precious days are done, we’ll be revving up to launch our exciting journey towards the upcoming Christmas Special!
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that my cherished London church setting has been the backdrop for their recent filming! They’ve kindly shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes photo, leaving me with a tantalizing glimpse into the production process.
As I’m immersed in this gripping game, I can’t help but wonder what Nurse Crane, played by Linda Bassett, is planning with that intriguing little finger of hers. Is she conspiring with Laura Main (Shelagh) and Judy Parfitt (Sr Monica Joan)? Could it be a secret pact involving the tantalizing possibility of cake? 😉
We’re almost at the end of our work, and it’s an exciting moment because that means we get to share with you all the amazing things we’ve been creating!
In the upcoming season, we’ll experience a throwback to the 1970s, as the midwives at Nonnatus House are set to deal with tougher narratives ahead.
In the year 1970, the world has undergone numerous transformations, yet one constant remains – new life continues to arrive. Consequently, the necessity of Nonnatus House remains palpable.
1970 in Poplar is set to deliver a mix of happiness, sadness, warmth, laughter, and heartfelt moments that reflect our community. Cross my heart!
The new season will be preceded by a festive special airing on Christmas Day.
Call the Midwife airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
