Call the Midwife fans will be devastated as BBC confirms schedule shake-up

Next week, there’s a good chance that the airing schedule for Call the Midwife will be altered, potentially causing some dissatisfaction among its viewers.

Typically, the program is aired past 8 pm every Sunday. However, there’s an unexpected conflict with the BAFTA Film Awards next Sunday (February 16), so the episode won’t be shown on that day.

Instead, the episode – the penultimate of season 14 – will be pushed back a week to February 23.

2023’s BAFTA nominations are dominated by “Conclave,” which received 12 nominations, closely trailed by “Emilia Pérez” with 11, “The Brutalist” with nine, and “Anora,” “Dune: Part Two,” and “Wicked” each earning seven nods. This year, David Tennant will once again take the stage as host following his tenure last year.

In the latest updates about “Call the Midwife”, exclusive sneak peeks of the upcoming episode reveal nurse Rosalind enduring discomfort due to an enigmatic health problem.

A different image depicts Rosalind with Cyril, though she’s made it clear they have no future together, acknowledging her own feelings for the pastor.

In a new photo, we see Rosalind with Cyril, but she’s admitted there is no future for them despite her having feelings for the pastor.

In a recent disclosure, actress Rebecca Gethings (playing Sister Veronica) shared that the cast has had some “uncanny” or “strange” incidents happen during filming.

The star clarified that there have been some strange occurrences, including lights flickering, footsteps echoing, and eerie male giggles coming from the hallway leading to the ladies’ restrooms.

She noted, “I don’t usually visit that place alone.” As they were securing Dr. Turner’s office for the night, our medical professional heard a noise. They rushed inside, snapped a picture in the dark, and upon closer inspection, there appears to be an Edwardian woman holding what seems like a pig.

The television series “Call the Midwife” can be watched on BBC One, or streamed on BBC iPlayer. Meanwhile, the EE British Academy Film Awards are set to occur on Sunday, February 16th, and they too will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer.
