Okay, so huge news for Call of Duty fans! I just heard that Paramount and Activision are finally making a live-action movie, and they’ve got some serious talent working on it. Peter Berg and Taylor Sheridan – yeah, the guy behind Yellowstone – are going to write and direct the whole thing. I’m actually pretty excited to see what they do with it!
Rumors of a Call of Duty movie have circulated for years, and it was officially announced in September that one is now in the works. Paramount and Activision are teaming up to develop and produce the film, bringing the popular video game franchise to theaters.
The duo previously collaborated on hits like Hell or High Water and Wind River
Peter Berg, the director behind films like The Mosquito Bowl, Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon, and Patriots Day, is set to write, direct, and produce a new movie. He’ll be working with his Film 47 team, and joined by Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone, 1923, and Sicario, who will also write and produce. David Glasser will also serve as a producer on the project.

Taylor Sheridan and Jeff Bridges have collaborated successfully in the past, notably on the films Wind River and Hell or High Water, which received four Academy Award nominations, including recognition for Best Picture and Best Screenplay. Fans can anticipate a similar, realistic and intense style in their new project.
Ever since the movie was first announced last month, we’ve been hearing a lot of news about the people involved. There was talk of Steven Spielberg, who’s a big fan of the series, potentially directing, but that idea didn’t move forward.

Call of Duty is one of the most successful video game series ever, selling over 500 million copies worldwide. For twenty years, it’s been a huge part of gaming, and fans have long hoped for a movie adaptation – now, that’s finally happening.
