There are whispers that it might be the upcoming Call of Duty game on Xbox Game Pass; I’m referring to the 2009 original, not the 2022 edition or even the 2020 campaign remaster.
Based on reports from Xbox Era and Insider Gaming, it’s possible that Modern Warfare 2 could join Game Pass sometime in March or April. If this happens, it would mark the first classic Call of Duty game to be available on the service. Previously, Black Ops 6 and the 2023 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 have been added.
If Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes to Game Pass (and honestly, it seems likely), it could open the door for other iconic games from the series to be added as well. Since most of these games are already backwards compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, keep an eye out for updates on this exciting possibility!
