Activision has revealed that the third season for Call of Duty: Black Ops and Warzone will commence in a week’s time, marking the much-anticipated resurrection of the classic Verdansk battle royale map.
Verdansk has been completely redesigned for its comeback in Warzone, featuring all the original elements and gameplay options along with a launch event offering 20 free rewards. Familiar landmarks and significant points of interest remain intact, as do lesser-known areas.
According to the recent blog post from Call of Duty, this new version of Verdansk is almost entirely a rebuild of the 2020 map, with only about 5% of the terrain undergoing minor changes and enhancements for better visuals and player experience.
Experienced gamers might recall Verdansk from Modern Warfare’s 2019 Season 3, which was introduced in March of that year. Some features from later seasons were incorporated into this map, such as the Metro Station entrances. Additionally, there are planned modifications to the map throughout future seasons.
On the 3rd of April at 9 am, Verdansk will make its comeback to Call of Duty: Warzone. This event follows a day after the launch of Season 03 for Black Ops Cold War on the 2nd of April. For more information about the newly redesigned Verdansk’s massive map, be sure to check it out!
