Cal Kestis rumored to be making his live-action Star Wars debut on Disney+

As a long-time gamer and Star Wars fanatic who has spent countless hours exploring the galaxy far, far away in various video games, the prospect of Cal Kestis making his live-action debut is nothing short of electrifying! The idea of seeing this beloved character brought to life by none other than Cameron Monaghan, who voiced and portrayed him so brilliantly in the games, is a dream come true.

As a die-hard Star Wars fan, I’ve been eagerly waiting for some fresh news. It seems like the franchise has hit a slump lately, but there’s a glimmer of hope on the horizon. Word on the street, from trusted insider Daniel RPK, hints that our beloved character, Cal Kestis from Star Wars Jedi, might be stepping into live-action for the very first time, and it could happen sooner than we think!

The rumor was posted to Daniel RPK’s Patreon, but it was light of details. The scooper claimed that he couldn’t share much, other than the character’s live-action debut would be on Disney+. This likely means Cal Kestis will appear in either a yet-to-be-revealed Star Wars series, or perhaps an already existing series.

Between the occurrences in “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope,” the “Star Wars Jedi” series narrates the escapades of Cal Kestis, a surviving Jedi who is being pursued by the Imperial forces.

In the second season of Ahsoka, which takes place after Return of the Jedi, it’s unlikely that we’ll see Cal Kestis make an appearance. Additionally, I don’t think he’ll show up in the upcoming series Skeleton Crew. Considering the current Star Wars timeline, it seems more probable that Cal Kestis will appear in Andor Season 2 instead.

It’s also worth mentioning that we’re unsure about the scale of this debut. Will it merely be a brief appearance aimed at pleasing fans, or is it the start of something significant for Cal Kestis? Additionally, could this potentially lead to a larger project, perhaps even a series centered around Cal Kestis himself?

The anticipation for Cal Kestis in a live-action version is undeniably high, yet there remains a significant question: will Cameron Monaghan embody the character on television? Monaghan, who played Kestis in the video games and lent his likeness to the character, is only 31. Given that he’s still relatively young, it’s feasible that he could portray Cal in a series around the same timeline as Andor.

Just a heads up, while there’s no formal confirmation yet from Disney or Lucasfilm, consider this information as just a rumor for the time being.
