Buscabulla teases summer U.S. tour and new album, ‘Se Amaba Así’

The Puerto Rican independent pop duo Buscabulla is stepping into a fresh phase. Almost half a decade since the launch of their widely praised first album, “Regresa,” they’ve shared news about an upcoming U.S. concert tour and a brand-new record.

On Tuesday, Buscabulla released a short preview for their upcoming second album titled “Se Amaba Así.” The 52-second video features two playful dogs transitioning into the profiles of married couple Luis Alfredo Del Valle and Raquel Berrios. They met in 2011 and formed Buscabulla later on. Toward the end, the phrase “Se Amaba Así” appears, along with a message that reads: “Soon.

Additionally, Buscabulla unveiled their self-titled U.S. tour schedule. This tour initiates in Miami on June 19th, followed by a performance in Los Angeles at the Belasco on July 3rd.

Lead singer Berrios stated in a recent announcement, ‘There’s a reason for your existence, and it needs to be realized.’ This upcoming period is all about that,” he explained.

This band is recognized for its innovative rhythms and tropical sounds, and they caused a stir with their first release in 2020 titled “Regresa.” This album combines the soft whispers of salsa, R&B, and trippy pop, and it documents the duo’s challenging journey back to Puerto Rico from New York after Hurricane Maria. The album was praised by NPR as one of the 50 best albums of 2020 for its “multifaceted and evolving concepts of home,” and Berrios’ “gentle, inviting vocals.

In June of 2024, the band Buscabulla put out their latest single, “11:11,” which draws inspiration from angel numbers. Earlier in 2022, they teamed up with renowned artist Bad Bunny for the song “Andrea.” This track is a poignant ballad found on his groundbreaking album “Un Verano Sin Ti” that tackles issues such as misogyny and domestic abuse. Towards the end of the year, they joined forces with him during his global tour.

You can purchase tickets ahead of time for Buscabulla’s forthcoming concert tour, starting on Wednesday, March 26, 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST). This is the presale period. Tickets will also be available to the general public from Friday, March 28, 10 a.m. PST.
