Build-A-Bear gets a vibrant new option with its latest Doctor Who addition
As a lifelong Whovian who’s traversed more time vortexes than I care to count, I must say that the new Doctor Who Teddy Bear from Build-A-Bear Workshop has truly stolen my heart! The intricate details on these adorable companions, from the sonic screwdrivers to the iconic outfits, are a testament to the love and attention given by the creators.
There are numerous cozy methods to celebrate adventures across time and space, and toys can undoubtedly aid “Doctor Who” enthusiasts in taking care of themselves or finding pleasure with their favorite Time Lord. Recently, Build-a-Bear has introduced a companion modeled after the latest incarnation of The Doctor.
“A time-traveling teddy.”
On previous occasions, Build-A-Bear Workshop has introduced Doctor figurines for fans, and they can easily find several versions in stores. However, an exciting new item is now available for purchase, as revealed on their Instagram account.
This Doctor Who Fifteenth Doctor Teddy Bear Gift Set, complete with a TARDIS-themed gift box, boasts its standout characteristic: two hearts sewn onto its chest. The site praises it as an exceptional present for fans of the Fifteenth Doctor and considers it as “prepared to traverse the cosmos within its TARDIS gift box.” Don’t fret about size; it’s bigger on the inside.
The 15th Doctor appears in an eye-catching ensemble reminiscent of Ncuti Gatwa’s, worn with justifiable pride during the latest season of the TV series. The outfit includes a vibrant orange and blue button-down shirt, blue trousers, and a striking overcoat. A faithful replica of their sonic screwdriver is always by their side, adding a delightful touch to the character.
For devoted Whovians like you, alternative choices abound. The Doctor Who Teddy Bear sports the series’ emblem and a vibrant galaxy pattern on one paw. What makes other versions truly charming are their unique outfits. The Tenth Doctor’s attire includes 3D glasses and his trusty sonic screwdriver. The Fourth Doctor dons a quirky hat, but let’s not forget the iconic scarf that completes the look. However, the cherry on top has to be Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor figure, which comes with a guitar that sparks discussions about who really composed Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.
Furthermore, two more characters from the long-running sci-fi series make an appearance. K-9, a loyal companion, was reintroduced in the 2005 continuation of the adventures during the “School Reunion” episode. Interestingly, Build-A-Bear offers a plush Dalek toy.
Year-round, you can find Gallifrey-inspired merchandise, but with the upcoming Christmas special titled “Joy to the World” airing next month, it’s an ideal moment to think about gifting a time-traveling teddy bear to the ones you cherish, or even better, treat yourself to one!
