Buffy reboot announces major cast additions – here’s where you know them from

Five additional actors are set to team up with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Kiera Armstrong for the Hulu revival of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

As reported by Variety, Sarah Bock, who played the role of Miss Huang during season two of Severance, is now set to become a regular cast member.

At present, specifics about the storyline and a possible premiere date remain secret, but it’s anticipated that the show will focus on a new slayer (Armstrong), while Buffy (Gellar) is set to appear periodically.

This week on Instagram, Gellar disclosed that a reading of the pilot’s script was conducted. She posted pictures of her script and playfully captioned it, “Taking baby steps.

The actor who announced the return of “Buffy” on Instagram in February has also disclosed that Chloé Zhao, known for her work on “Nomadland” (2020) and “Eternals” (2021), is taking charge as director for the pilot. This script was written by Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who are well-known for their work on the show “Poker Face”.

Gellar acknowledged that fans have expressed a desire to revisit Buffy and her universe, but he couldn’t pursue it unless he was certain we could do it justice. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot is yet to receive a release date.
