BTS V’s Shocking Transformation Sparks Squid Game Casting Rumors!
One of K-pop’s biggest stars has stunned fans with his body transformation.
In simple terms, the South Korean pop sensation, famously known as V from BTS, shed some pounds and bulked up when he joined the military service of South Korea in 2023.
The artist, aged 29, shared on WeVerse that he has lost around 22 pounds, but it seems like he has gained more muscle mass rather than just losing weight.
Recently, the artist responsible for the chart-topping song “Dynamite” has been flaunting his toned upper body at the gym, as seen in photos posted on WeVerse and Instagram.
The photographs sparked excitement among K-pop enthusiasts, prompting one to exclaim, “He’s handling his military duty admirably; his physique looks great and seems to be growing even more. I believe he must be working out effectively!
Another wrote, ‘He better not lose all this when he comes back!’
Some fans online have speculated that Taehyung’s new look is for the third season of Squid Game.
There have been some queries directed at certain actors from the series regarding the speculations, yet they have chosen not to either affirm or dismiss the possibility that V will be part of the ensemble.
In the second season of the popular Netflix show, various South Korean pop artists were highlighted, among them being singer Jo Yuri and rap artist T.O.P.
Previously, BTS bandleader RM openly shared feelings of wanting to step away from life, owing to the intense pressures associated with leading the renowned South Korean boyband.
30-year-old music artist openly discussed the pressures he encounters when conversing with bandmate, Jimin.
The chat was filmed shortly before RM began his military service in December 2023.

In the conversation that surfaced on the group’s primary YouTube channel last Friday, RM shared insights about his sentiments as the frontman, a role he holds alongside members Jimin, V, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, and Jungkook in the band.
As a lifestyle guide, I’m known for saying the appropriate and kind words within my team. Whenever the situation calls for it, I proudly take the lead, acting as their representative.
He went on saying, “That’s my usual approach, and it’s understood that I’ll deliver speeches and participate in interviews – all of which I do in English,” added Jimin.
I’m merely a 29-year-old man residing in Korea, who is not particularly significant.

Jimin interjected, saying, ‘I understand your point,’ and the rapper further explained, ‘While I wouldn’t call myself “average,” I’m simply a 29-year-old who lives a somewhat unique lifestyle compared to most others.’
Just like you, I’m 28 years old. However, for the last decade, we’ve carried a heavy load.”
This version keeps the original meaning intact while making it more conversational and easier to understand.
At a certain moment, it became necessary for us to be thoughtful and distinct, as RM put it. What I admire about BTS is their unique music.
He later confessed, but added that if he continually prioritized others’ opinions, it seemed as though he might as well be on the verge of giving up on life.
