Brutosaur mount available on Battle.net shop for $90USD, players react
As a seasoned World of Warcraft player with over a decade under my belt and countless hours spent grinding gold for that elusive mount, I must admit, the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur has piqued my interest. The idea of having a portable mailbox at my fingertips is tantalizing, especially considering the 3-hour cooldown on other mail-checking toys.
In the latest update, Blizzard has reintroduced the iconic riding mount, the Gilded Brutosaur, but this time with a fresh new appearance. You can now buy it from the Battle.net store.
In their latest announcement, Blizzard unveiled the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur mount available for purchase in the game store. This new mount resembles the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur, but here’s a twist: rather than requiring in-game gold, this one will cost you $90 USD instead.
Yes, this mount costs the same as the highest tier of The War Within.
What sets this mountain apart is its unique feature – it’s the first to be equipped with a portable mailbox. While it may not appear extraordinary at first glance, consider that most toys which offer mail-checking functionality come with a three-hour wait period between uses.
As a gamer, I’d put it like this: Just like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur mentioned earlier, this one has an auction house vendor built-in. This makes it unique as it’s the only mount in the game you can easily get via the Auction House. Back in Battle for Azeroth, the previous Brutosaur was taken out of circulation, but when available, it comes with a hefty price tag of 5 million in-game gold.
As a gamer, I’ve got to weigh the pros and cons myself. The gaming community is divided on this issue as we speak, with opinions swinging both ways. Whether it’s worth it or not, that decision ultimately lies in my hands.
Compared to the initial Brutosaur mount in World of Warcraft, the new mount is significantly more affordable due to the use of WoW Tokens. Currently, a WoW Token costs approximately 200-225 thousand gold, which equates to needing around 1.2 million gold to convert that amount into Battle.net balance to pay for the $90. In simpler terms, you’d need about 1.2 million gold to buy a WoW Token and then use it to purchase the game time needed for the new mount.
