Bruce Willis spotted being driven around Los Angeles after news he has moved out of his wife’s home

After his wife shared that he had been moved to a different residence, Bruce Willis was seen being driven around Los Angeles by someone assisting with his care.

The 70-year-old actor looked relaxed in the passenger seat of an SUV on Friday. 

Bruce Willis was spotted wearing a blue shirt over a white tee. He shielded his fair skin and light eyes from the sun with a cap and sunglasses.

Bruce Willis’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, shared that she’s now working with a dedicated team of caregivers to help him manage his frontotemporal dementia.

The condition affects Bruce’s ability to understand and express language.

Emma, who has been married to Bruce since 2009, revealed they had adapted the situation over time. 

She explained to The Times newspaper, while discussing her book *The Unexpected Journey*, that she and Bruce have developed a unique and intimate way of communicating and connecting with each other.

It’s simply about being present with him – sitting with him, going for walks, and really listening as he expresses himself in his own way.

Bruce Willis’s new house is located close to where his ex-wife, Emma Heming, lives with their daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, who are 13 and 11 years old, respectively.

Living nearby means the children can visit their dad frequently, letting them play with their toys and share meals as a family.

‘You can see the tenderness of it,’ she told the publication.

Oh my gosh, it just breaks my heart listening to her talk about it. She said the girls… they’ve just *learned* how to be with him, even with everything he’s going through. It’s like they instinctively know how to navigate things around his illness, and honestly, it’s so beautiful to see how strong they are. But she also said they really miss the *old* him, and it just… ugh, it’s so sad. They’re coping, but it’s clearly hard on them.

Despite facing some criticism for her choice, she firmly believed it was the best course of action, stating it was right for everyone involved – him, their daughters, and herself.

‘Ultimately I could get back to being his wife. And that’s such a gift.’

Moving Bruce to his own place has been a huge relief, allowing friends and family to visit and connect with him independently. It’s much easier now that I don’t have to worry about hosting or managing their visits and reactions, and it gives everyone a more relaxed and personal experience, she said.

Emma explained that keeping Bruce separate allows her children to relax and be themselves at home, as a lot of noise isn’t ideal for him.

She explained to People that having a home suitable for their two young children and Bruce was a priority for the family.

‘The kids can have playdates and sleepovers [again] and not have to walk around tiptoeing.’

Bruce Willis’s daughters with Demi Moore – Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31 – have convenient access to his new home as well.

Every family experiences it uniquely, and you just have to figure out what works best for *your* loved one and the way your family operates. It’s about finding what feels right for *you* all.

It’s really sad, but this is what allowed us to provide for our family, and it’s given Bruce so many new experiences.
