As an ardent fan of the Willis family, witnessing the raw emotion and strength that permeates through their struggles has been nothing short of inspiring. The life experiences of Bruce Willis’ daughter Tallulah, particularly her recent revelation about being diagnosed with autism at 29, resonate deeply with me.

On Monday, Tallulah Willis, Bruce Willis’ daughter, posted some fresh photos of her dad via social media.

The 30-year-old shared a touching tribute to her 69-year-old father who is battling frontotemporal dementia.

She expressed, ‘I have such deep affection for this man, and dealing with emotions can be challenging, yet I’m thankful I can embrace them rather than detaching myself.’

She mentioned that the pictures were from an “eternal collection,” making it uncertain when exactly they were originally captured.

The photos were taken not long ago, following an occasion when he looked quite tired while making a seldom visit to Brentwood the previous week.

Initially, there’s a picture showing Bruce standing behind his girl, both dressed appropriately. He is donning a gray, striped attire, while she wears a black sweater with the message ‘Hey’ written on it. His affectionate gesture towards her was giving her a peck on the head.

In the second photo, you can see Tallulah dressed casually in a white tee and matching dark blue bibs, sharing a meal of noodles with her dad who was wearing a black sweater over a white tee.

In the scene, Bruce sported a smile under a grey hoodie and blue denims as Tallulah perused a scrapbook filled with write-ups about him.

Apart from that, she additionally posted the second image on her Instagram tale, accompanied by the message, “My man and his chicken noodle soup make me smile.

Recently, the new photos were released, following closely on the heels of a disclosure made by the 30-year-old on The Today Show about receiving an autism diagnosis at age 29.

For a long time, she had been given an incorrect diagnosis. It wasn’t until she turned 29 that she finally received an accurate one, which is quite typical for adult women, as she shared with the hosts Samantha Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.

The actress added she struggled more with sensory issues, ‘so being very sensitive to the world.’

The actress expressed that it was both emotional and a sense of relief when she learned about her autism, as before this revelation, she had deeply disliked herself.

‘I thought I was very broken,’ Tallulah, who has also been diagnosed with ADHD, admitted.

She expressed that she discovered these aspects of herself which she considered flaws or excesses, even burdens, were not problems at all. Instead, they might just need some additional resources to be accepted and appreciated.

The actress shared that knowing she was autistic gave her ‘more grace’ for herself going forward.

She also mentioned that, aside from her family and perhaps others who become aware of this situation, might want to practice a bit more self-compassion and gentleness.
