Brooklyn Beckham’s olive branch? Star makes tentative sign of peace with David and Victoria amid family ‘feud’

I’ve noticed a potential gesture of reconciliation from Brooklyn Beckham towards his parents, David and Victoria, during this ongoing family disagreement we’ve been experiencing.

I find myself distanced from my cherished child, as he was absent for all festivities marking my recent 50th birthday in football, a matter that deeply saddens me.

Although Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, flew to London, they missed out on attending the large family gathering at the Beckhams’ residence in Cotswolds, a picturesque trip to France, or a meal at the Core restaurant in Notting Hill.

This past Monday, additional evidence emerged of the deep-seated divide as Brooklyn (age 26) and Nicola (age 30), departing from their residence in Los Angeles, visited the capital city for a joint photo session with the high-end Italian fashion label, Moncler.

The incident occurred barely two miles from the residence of the Beckham family in Holland Park, a district in west London. Interestingly, Brooklyn had not informed David and Victoria that he was in the country, nor did he arrange a meeting with them.

However, despite no longer being closely connected with his parents, Brooklyn maintains a strong family bond, as evidenced by his continued association of his hot sauce company, Cloud23, with his lineage.

Last September, the 26-year-old started their own brand, subtly acknowledging the number “23” in its title as a tribute to David, who donned the No. 23 jersey during his time with Real Madrid and later with LA Galaxy.

When a customer inquired about the brand, Brooklyn’s team responded with a sense of pride, reaffirming their commitment to upholding its connection to his father.

In our brand, the number 23 is a loving tribute to Brooklyn’s dad, David Beckham, as he wore jersey number 23 during his time with Real Madrid and LA Galaxy. This number choice was influenced by basketball great, Michael Jordan.

The fact that David is described as a “warm nod” is meaningful considering the present tense of friction between father and son.

However, there is currently no mention of David anywhere on the Cloud23 website. 

The ‘Cloud’ component in the name symbolizes the brand’s slogan, “Taste above the clouds,” suggesting a high-end, lavish dining encounter.

The name Cloud23 isn’t just a nod to David; it’s also significant because Brooklyn mentioned that the number 23 represents the date when David proposed to Nicola, which was on the 23rd of June in 2020.

During an interview with InStyle last year during a brand promotion, Brooklyn openly discussed his strong bond with David and Victoria at that time.

‘I had a crazy childhood, man. I was so happy,’ he fondly recalled.

Growing up, my days were a whirlwind due to the fact that my father was an avid football player and my mother graced the stage as a Spice Girl. The Spice Girls era marked the early years of my life, making it a hectic time indeed. We were constantly engaged in various activities. Yet, amidst the chaos, I can confidently say I have the most wonderful parents one could ask for, and looking back, it was an exhilarating journey filled with fun and excitement.

Despite finding it challenging, Brooklyn firmly stated that he wouldn’t alter anything about his upbringing, even though it took place under the public eye.

In a casual manner, people often ask, “What’s it like having famous parents?” To which he typically replies, ” frankly, they’re simply my mother and father.” He doesn’t view them in any other light. (He said this.)

Recognizing that being the offspring of renowned parents often attracts criticism, Brooklyn likewise discussed the principles his mom and dad instilled in him.

He mentioned that he has consistently followed the advice given by his parents: “Keep working diligently, remain kind to others, and success will come your way.” This is exactly what he has been doing.

But sadly, times have changed.     

Brooklyn openly expressed his steadfast devotion to Nicola (age 30), daughter of renowned Miami businessman and investor, Nelson Peltz, through an Instagram video he shared on Sunday.

‘You are my entire universe! I will love you forever! I always pick you, darling! You’re simply amazing, and together we make an unbreakable pair!’

Those close to the Beckhams have now told The Sun that the message seemed ‘very pointed’.

The insider added: ‘It shows how much this situation with his family has escalated.

Everyone finds this situation deeply heartbreaking, with David and Victoria being particularly affected since they adore him so dearly. However, this isn’t the lively Brooklyn that their family cherishes and remembers.

‘This post was like a dagger to their hearts but they will always be there for Brooklyn.’ 

I re-posted that video on my page myself and commented, “I’ve always got you, my dear,” accompanied by a fiery heart emoji.

Last night at the TIME100 Impact Dinner held in New York City, I found myself alongside Victoria and her husband David, making an effort to foster reconciliation with our son Brooklyn.

At the gathering, the pair showcased a family picture from Victoria’s 50th birthday celebration last year, featuring all four of their kids, presenting a harmonious image to everyone present.

The image beautifully encapsulated a scene evocative of happier days for the family, before the persistent disagreements with their eldest son and his wife, Nicola, had arisen.

Last year, Brooklyn attended the grand birthday celebration of the ex-Spice Girl, but neither he nor his spouse showed up for her 51st party, as well as for David’s 50th celebration this month.

Instead of posting birthday wishes on social media like his siblings Romeo (age 22) and Cruz (age 20), Brooklyn opted to remain quiet during those celebratory moments for their parents on each occasion.
