Brooklyn Beckham’s friends say they are ‘not surprised’ he failed to acknowledge David’s knighthood – as Victoria and brothers shower father with pride

I, a devoted admirer, find myself compelled to share that Brooklyn Beckham has yet to publicly recognize his father, Sir David Beckham’s, knighthood, following the significant rift between them and his mother, Victoria.

Previously serving as England’s football team captain, he received numerous warm messages from his relatives over social media, even receiving compliments from his spouse and other sons. However, his 26-year-old son Brooklyn chose not to voice his congratulations publicly.

Brooklyn’s wife, American heiress Nicola Peltz, 30, followed suit.

According to sources close to the Beckham family, it was not unexpected that influencer Brooklyn continued to distance himself from his father, given the allegations that his mother, Nicola, exerts a strong influence over him and is perceived as controlling.

But they are said to be saddened as Brooklyn knows what it means for his Dad to get his knighthood.

Family sources are currently on edge, hoping that Brooklyn, currently residing in Los Angeles with Nicola, will post a message on Instagram today in honor of David’s Father’s Day.

My buddy mentioned that the following event is what’s coming up. He neglected to greet his mom on Mother’s Day, which suggests he might not reach out to David. However, we’ll have to wait and see.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d rephrase it like this: After experiencing some tough times following the strained relationship with Brooklyn, the Beckham family has found reasons to rejoice once again, with David’s knighthood serving as a source of joy and pride for us all.

I couldn’t help but disregard the heart-wrenching disappointment that washed over my parents when, alongside Nicola, I chose to forgo David’s magnificent 50th birthday festivities.

They didn’t show up for either the birthday celebration beforehand held at the Miami Italian eatery Cipriani in March or the large family gathering at the Beckhams’ £10 million estate in Oxfordshire.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I too have longed for the charm of a picturesque sojourn in France and a delightful dining experience at the Core Restaurant nestled in Notting Hill, West London.

Instead, Brooklyn declined an outing for ‘fishing with his dad and younger brothers’ in the Highlands.

Posh and Becks don’t think they will have a relationship with Brooklyn for the foreseeable future.

But fashion designer Victoria yesterday shared her pride at her husband’s gong.

A decade back, it seemed improbable that David would receive such an honor, given his outburst against the honors committee. He had criticized them as ungrateful individuals and stated emphatically that he didn’t value being knighted.

Or,

A tribute was considered unlikely a decade ago due to David’s harsh words for the honors committee, referring to them as unappreciative and stating he wouldn’t care about being knighted.

Back then, our past was as distant as yesterday’s news, but today, I couldn’t help but share this heartfelt moment! In a post dripping with excitement on Instagram, I, 51, expressed my feelings alongside an image of me bestowing a smooch upon the face of none other than David: “You’ve forever been my knight in shining armor, and now it’s officially official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! I’m beyond thrilled!

‘What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you.

‘Your unwavering commitment to what truly matters – your nation, your profession, your passions, but especially your family – has always been admirable. The impact you’ve made on countless lives through kindness and humility over the years is a testament to the extraordinary man you are, continually inspiring us daily. However, more than anything else, I am incredibly proud to consider you as my own. My affection for you knows no bounds xxxx.’

Romeo, aged 22, shared a picture of him and his dad dancing together at a celebration, accompanied by the caption, ‘I’m so proud of you’. (Informal)

Twenty-two-year-old Romeo uploaded an image of him and his dad dancing happily at a party, with the words, ‘I couldn’t be more proud.’ (Casual)

Instead of posting just one message, his younger brother Cruz, aged 20, took it a step further by sharing not one but two heartfelt congratulations on social media platforms.

In my own words, let me share a heartfelt moment from my perspective as a lifestyle enthusiast: ‘I captured a beautiful image of David, beaming with joy while seated amidst the serenity of a forest. Accompanying this picture, Cruz penned down a heartwarming message saying, “I’m so proud of you dad, I love you.” He even joked, adding a touch of humor to his post: “Sir David Beckham has a nice ring to it.”‘

In a different post, I playfully addressed my mom in a manner reminiscent of a formal title, saying: “Knight David Beckham & Lady (my mother’s name),” accompanied by a picture of us standing at the steps of our Holland Park, London residence, which was the venue for their royal encounter with King Charles at Buckingham Palace. The occasion was a welcoming ceremony for the Emir of Qatar, where Sir David himself graced the event in his OBE medal adorned on his chest.

David currently resides in Miami, as he jointly owns the Inter Miami football club. Moreover, he’s blessed with a 13-year-old daughter named Harper.

He is likely to come before the King for his investiture later this year.

He’s anticipated to invite Victoria, along with his parents Sandra and Ted (whom he acknowledges as key contributors to his football achievements), as his three guests. A grand celebration is planned to ensue afterward.
