Brooklyn Beckham’s ex-girlfriend Afton McKeith suggests his parents David and Victoria used to tip off the paparazzi on his whereabouts

Afton McKeith, Brooklyn Beckham’s former girlfriend, claims David and Victoria Beckham allegedly informed the paparazzi about where Brooklyn was, effectively arranging for him to be photographed.

Brooklyn Beckham, 26, publicly announced last week that he’s not interested in making amends with his family after a falling out.

His former girlfriend has now added to the controversy, claiming his parents, David and Victoria, allegedly tipped off the paparazzi about his whereabouts so they could get photos of him.

Afton went to sixth form with Brooklyn in 2017 and the pair had a brief romance.

In an interview with ITV News on Wednesday, Gillian McKeith’s daughter, Afton, explained that she noticed he would become clearly upset and worried.

I definitely remember paparazzi being there almost every day. It’s clear someone was coordinating them, because they knew his schedule so well – it wasn’t just chance.

When questioned about who might have been leaking information to the paparazzi regarding Brooklyn’s whereabouts, Afton stated she wasn’t going to reveal her suspicions, but she did have a strong feeling about it.

‘I’m not going to implicate anybody.’

Investigators asked her if she believed the person involved was a student at her school. She replied that she didn’t think so.

It seems like the person responsible had complete knowledge of his daily routine – they knew exactly where he would be and when, including all his breaks.

‘So, you can think about who that might be that would know that.’

When asked ‘Surely not his parents?’ Afton refused to comment further and shared a knowing look.

As a longtime supporter, I was really glad to hear Afton talk about why she felt it was important to address things now. She explained that Brooklyn doing a public statement was the right move because, for years, the press has painted a really inaccurate picture of him and Nicola. She said constantly seeing those false stories can be incredibly stressful and overwhelming, and it was time to set the record straight.

Eventually, it all became overwhelming for him. He believed that the best way to care for children is to keep them safe.

‘And putting your children in the public eye is very exposing.’

This follows comments from Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s previous wedding planner, who expressed surprise at the chef’s recent, unexpected announcement amid the family dispute.

The couple’s previous wedding planner, Preston Bailey, said he was surprised and upset by how publicly and harshly they criticized their parents.

Preston got caught up in his own wedding issues and had to step away from the planning job. Arianna Grijalba and Nicole Braghin took over the project in his place.

When Bailey resigned from his position as the initial planner, he stated he was too busy with other projects and couldn’t maintain his usual standard of work. However, in 2023, he clarified that he had a good relationship with the Peltzes and Nicola, and there were no hard feelings.

I’ve been following the case closely, and in a recent court document, Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, explained that the wedding planner, Bailey, really struggled with the sheer scale of the wedding. It was a massive undertaking at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, and reports say it cost around $3.5 million to pull off. It sounds like a lot went wrong behind the scenes!

Preston recently shared details about his interactions with Nicola and Brooklyn before the wedding plans were finalized.

He expressed surprise to Page Six that the individual is publicly disagreeing with his parents. He described knowing him as a kind and down-to-earth person – someone who was always friendly and would simply say hello and make small talk. He didn’t expect this behavior from the person he knew.

I’d be happy to share my experience working with Brooklyn. He was heavily involved in the design details during the planning phase. I’ve always considered him a kind and good person, and we never had any disagreements or conflicts.

I don’t recall her acting domineering; I mostly remember a warm connection between them. Any plans or designs were shown to Nicola first, but Brooklyn’s approval was crucial. She always needed his okay before moving forward with anything.

A documentary depicted Nicola as a difficult bride during a heated conflict with her wedding planners over her extravagant 2022 wedding.

The wedding was held in April 2022 at the Palm Beach, Florida home of Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, a billionaire investor.

The three-day event drew a star-studded crowd, including Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Venus and Serena Williams, and David and Victoria Beckham.

Problems arose after the wedding when Nelson Peltz filed a lawsuit against Plan Design, the Miami wedding planning company founded by Braghin and Grijalba. These issues had been building up beforehand.

After only eight days on the job, they were let go because, according to court documents, they couldn’t perform the required tasks and had misled the Peltz family about their abilities.
