Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz break cover as the reason he sent a legal letter to estranged parents David and Victoria is ‘revealed’

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz were seen in public on Monday, shortly after details emerged about a legal notice he allegedly sent to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, following a disagreement.

Last week, the Daily Mail reported that Brooklyn Beckham has asked his parents to communicate with him only through their lawyers.

The 26-year-old chef asked his parents not to reach out to him and to refrain from posting about him on social media.

Reports indicate the letter was written to safeguard his well-being, as online posts featuring David and Victoria had negatively impacted him.

Reports surfaced that Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, were spotted together in West Hollywood when he drove her home from a friend’s house in his luxury Porsche.

Brooklyn dressed casually for their outing in shorts and sneakers, while Nicola opted for a black matching set and seemed to be wearing a face mask.

Sources say Brooklyn Beckham prefers to handle any efforts to make amends in private, away from social media.

According to a source, the conflict worsened because his pleas to make it stop were not heeded.

They explained that his decision stemmed from struggles with his mental health, and was ultimately a way to protect himself.

From what I understand, Brooklyn feels a bit stuck in a parent-child dynamic with his mom and dad. He apparently feels they still see him as the kid he used to be, rather than the grown man he is today. It’s a common struggle, honestly – wanting your parents to acknowledge your independence and maturity!

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Brooklyn and his parents for comment.

The row escalated on Saturday when Nicola wiped all traces of the Beckhams from her Instagram.

In contrast, Brooklyn has not followed suit.

Following her husband Brooklyn blocking his family on social media, the 31-year-old actress deleted all posts related to the Beckhams from her accounts.

She removed a post that included a birthday message for her mother-in-law, Victoria, and others.

Brooklyn’s younger brother, Cruz, has said that Brooklyn blocked his whole family on social media after reports surfaced that they had stopped following him.

Shortly after, Nicola emphasized that her family was her top priority, affectionately calling them ‘her crew’ and sharing heartwarming photos with them.

Over the weekend Nicola erased all content of the Beckham family from her Instagram account. 

In 2024, when Victoria celebrated her 50th birthday, she received many lovely messages from her family, friends, and fans – including one from Nicola.

Nicola Peltz Beckham wished Victoria Beckham a happy birthday on social media, expressing her love and saying she’ll always cherish dancing with her. Victoria quickly replied with a loving message and lots of kisses.

The post initially put an end to speculation about a rift between them, but Nicola has since deleted it from her account.

The Daily Mail has contacted Nicola’s representatives for comment.  

Speculation about a rift between the actress and Victoria began after Nicola’s wedding to Brooklyn in April 2022, which was a lavish, multi-million-dollar event.

Rumors started circulating after reports claimed Nicola Peltz refused to wear a dress designed by Victoria Beckham, choosing instead gowns from Valentino, Christian Dior, and Versace.

While wedding preparations were happening, sources claimed Victoria was upset that Nicola didn’t want her to be very involved in planning the elaborate event.

Reports suggest the Beckhams weren’t prominently featured at the wedding, which reportedly upset Victoria. A source told the Daily Mail that the head table was filled with members of the Peltz family, making it seem like the Beckhams weren’t the focus of the celebration.

It felt like the wedding focused heavily on the Peltz family, which wasn’t surprising considering it was held at their home and featured speeches from their daughter and son.

Nicola later admitted the talk started because she hadn’t worn a dress designed by Victoria. Although she said there wasn’t a disagreement between them, she explained that Victoria’s team was simply too busy to make the dress, adding that ‘no family is perfect’.

Nicola clarified that she doesn’t consider her situation a feud, despite seeing that word used repeatedly in the media. She wondered if something had sparked the idea, leading people to label it as such.

It all began, as I’ve mentioned before, with the wedding dress. I really wanted to wear Victoria’s dress – I thought it was stunning – and I was so touched that Brooklyn’s mom offered to make it for me.

I was genuinely excited about wearing the dress, but I never actually got the chance. It bothers me when people suggest I never intended to wear it, because that’s simply not true.

I’ve been following Nicola and Brooklyn for a while now, and after their wedding, they seemed to drift apart from the Beckhams. They always denied any issues, shooting down rumors whenever they popped up, but lately, it’s become much harder to ignore the distance between them – it feels like something’s finally come to a head.

Last month, Cruz revealed that his family had blocked him on social media, after it was reported they had stopped following his accounts.

He clarified the situation in a recent post, stating that his parents would never unfriend him. He explained they both woke up unable to access his account, just like him, and asked people to understand the facts.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Brooklyn for comment on Cruz’s claims. 

This was the clearest indication so far that they aren’t speaking to each other as their family conflict worsens.

Last summer, things got so strained between the Beckhams that their son, Brooklyn, actually asked David and Victoria to communicate with him through his lawyers, according to a report in the Daily Mail on Thursday.

Okay, so even though everyone thinks he’s totally estranged from his family, I found out something amazing! Apparently, he is still talking to his grandparents – both sides! Can you believe it? It just proves he’s not the cold person the media makes him out to be. It’s so sweet that he’s keeping those connections, even with everything else going on. I knew he wasn’t a complete lost cause!

As a longtime follower, I understand there wasn’t any actual lawsuit or legal fight happening between these parties. And honestly, the letter itself wasn’t backed by any legal power – it was just a simple request, really. It didn’t have any teeth to it at all.

Honestly, it really upset me to hear about the things people were saying about Brooklyn and Nicola. I heard there were some pretty awful briefings going around, even suggesting he was being ‘controlled’ by his wife and was basically a ‘hostage’ in the relationship. It was just a really nasty attack on them both, as far as I could tell.

Throughout the week, people close to both sides – including representatives and friends – stayed quiet, hoping the situation would improve and a resolution could be reached.

According to one source, David was instructed to communicate through the law firm Schillings, and that was the only approved method of contact.

He gave the heiress a bouquet of white roses, just like the ones Victoria received from her husband on her 51st birthday last April.

Brooklyn surprised Nicola with a £5,000 bottle of Screaming Eagle wine, her mother’s favorite, and they shared a glass together, which he commemorated with a post captioned: ‘Special bottle for a special day.’

In 2017, Victoria shared a picture of herself with David and Brooklyn enjoying a bottle of wine, before they later had a falling out.

On Monday, David was thinking about his wonderful weekend getaway while noticing his daughter-in-law, Nicola, had removed all mentions of his family from her social media.

After the change, 50-year-old David posted photos on Instagram from his relaxing weekend getaway in the countryside, escaping the city’s hustle and noise.

Despite recent family difficulties, the father of four appeared positive, sharing cheerful photos from his snowy walks with his dogs.

David was taking selfies, bundled up in a tweed jacket and hat to stay warm.

I always picture him with that walking stick, especially when I think about his beautiful home in the Cotswolds. He was walking through the snow there recently, and it was a proper winter wonderland – everything was covered! He really seemed to rely on that stick as he made his way across the grounds.

He shared photos with the caption: ‘Wonderful weekend getaway in the countryside, though Simba wasn’t a fan of the cold!’

While fans commented on David’s picturesque view, others mentioned his estranged son Brooklyn.
