Brooke Shields Drops Bombshells About Andre Agassi in New Memoir

On a fashionable note, Brooke Shields graced an event in New York City on Thursday, where she showcased her style while discussing her latest book during the Women On The Move Live gathering.

59-year-old American actress, fresh from publishing her memoir this week, was stunning while wearing an off-white turtleneck dress that showcased a waist cut-out and an unbalanced hem.

Prior to its launch, the actor who starred in The Blue Lagoon unveiled the book’s cover on Instagram simultaneously with People magazine.

For a span of two years, from 1997 to 1999, Brooke was wedded to the renowned tennis player Andre Agassi, who is currently 54 years old. However, their union didn’t last forever and they eventually parted ways due to a divorce.

The memoir delves into their personal relationship as well, with some surprising revelations such as their private discussions already being disclosed.

In my memoir, as shared by People, I penned down my heartfelt revelation: “They explicitly said I didn’t meet the runway standard because I wasn’t thin enough.” This was a harsh truth I had to face.

In her own words, ‘When people constantly refer to you as ‘the face,’ you start to feel that’s all there is to you – just a face. From the top of my neck down, I was Brooke Shields, but it seemed like my entire body lived in a different world.’

She recalled telling Andre about these inner thoughts and insecurities.

In her writing, Brooke expressed that when she shared her insecurities with her first spouse, he often responded by saying, “If only you could see yourself as I do.

When I asked him, ‘Would you still find me attractive if I gained weight during pregnancy?’, I didn’t mean it literally at the moment, and it was an inappropriate question to ask anyone. I was taken aback by his reaction, she went on to say.

Brooke claimed that Andre had told her, ‘I love you too much to let you get big and fat!’

The Pretty Baby star admitted in the book that it was a response that she didn’t expect.

In her post, as reported by the source, Brooke stated, ‘I certainly wasn’t expecting that and had to take a moment to regroup.’

Before adding: ‘But we all know how that relationship turned out.’ 

Following her split from Andre, Brooke went on to find romance with movie director Chris Henchy, whom she wed in the year 2001.

The couple share two children together, daughters Rowan, 21, and Grier, 18.
