Brooke Burns was the hot blonde model turned actress in the late 1990s.

The Texas native was a model in Europe as she graced the cover of magazines like Marie Claire. 

After that, she began acting, first appearing on the show Out Of The Blue. She then became known for her roles on Baywatch, famously wearing a red swimsuit, and later on Baywatch: Hawaii, where she wore a yellow one.

She then landed a part on the sitcom Just Shoot Me! alongside David Spade, and also appeared on the television series North Shore with the late Shannen Doherty.

The leggy looker then became a TV host on shows like Tic-Tac-Dough.

I’ve always been fascinated by her life, and her romantic relationships were definitely intriguing! She was married to Julian McMahon, and for a while, everyone was saying she and Bruce Willis were engaged – though that didn’t last long, it was a really talked-about pairing.

Born in Dallas, Texas, Burns relocated to Europe with her family at the age of 16, eventually living in cities like Paris, Milan, and Munich.

From 1998 to 2001, Burns starred in Baywatch and Baywatch: Hawaii as the character Jessie Owens.

She then worked on the prime time soap opera North Shore, which aired from 2004 to 2005. 

In 2006, she appeared alongside Rebecca Romijn and Alexandra Barreto in the TV show Pepper Dennis, where she played the character Kathy Dinkle.

In 2009, Burns appeared in the first 12 episodes of the updated Melrose Place sow.

She played Vanessa, who was wed to Dr Michael Mancini, played by Thomas Calabro.

She was on the first season of the celebrity diving reality competition Splash.

In 2001, she played the character of Ugly Katrina in the comedy film Shallow Hal, alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Jack Black.

Besides Nurse Jackie, Burns also appeared in episodes of Ally McBeal, Drop Dead Diva, CSI: Miami, To Tell the Truth, and Average Joe: Hawaii.

In 1997 she starred in the film Conan The Adventurer.

In 2008, she starred alongside Henry Winkler in the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.

Other films include Smokejumpers, Dancing Trees, Trophy Wife, Art of Travel and Time And Again. 

In 2017, she appeared as Sydney in a Hallmark movie, Christmas Connection, with Tom Everett Scott.

Burns was married to actor Julian McMahon from 1999 to 2001. 

McMahon was the son of the former Prime Minister of Australia Sir William McMahon.

They have a daughter who was born in June 2000.

The star is best know for the shows Nip/Tuck and FBI: Most Wanted.

He died in July 2025 at age 56 after a long illness. 

Burns began dating actor Bruce Willis in August 2003 and there was talk they had gotten engaged.

But they split in June 2004.

Willis, who is the ex-husband of A-list actress Demi Moore, went on to marry Emma Heming. 

Willis, 71, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in early 2023. 

He is currently living in his own home in Los Angeles as he gets care. 

In 2013, Annie Burns married Gavin O’Connor, a film director known for movies like Miracle (2004), Warrior (2011), The Accountant (2016), and The Way Back (2020).

In 2005, Burns suffered a broken neck after a diving accident. Then, in May 2014, she was injured in a car crash in Los Angeles.

Her last acting role was in the 2020 TV movie Roux the Day: A Gourmet Detective Mystery.
