Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged Gets a September Release Date

As an old-school gamer with memories of playing Broken Sword on my trusty PlayStation 1, I can hardly contain my excitement for this September! Revolution Software has done it again, breathing new life into a classic point-and-click adventure that’s as timeless as the Templar secrets themselves.

Revolution Software has revealed that Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars: Reforged is set to release in September, inviting you once more to stroll the streets of Paris as you embark on an enthralling point-and-click journey.

Last year, Broken Sword Reforged – a significant upgrade to the 1996 PS1 and PC adventure game – was announced alongside Broken Sword 6: Parzival’s Stone. This upcoming release aims to deliver a refreshed, rejuvenated take on George and Nico’s world-traveling tale. The original background art drawn by Don Bluth layout artists has been reworked, character sprites have been reanimated, and the audio has undergone remastering.

The game includes a “story mode” that blends storytelling and gameplay progression adaptively, along with an option to effortlessly toggle between the 1996 classic version of the game and its “refreshed” graphics. On the other hand, there’s a traditional mode for those who prefer the original experience.

The reimagined version of “Broken Sword – Shadow of the Templars” will be available for play on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers starting from the 19th of September.
