He resigned from his position as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent after making offensive comments about the people competing on the show in private conversations.
His publisher, HarperCollins, has ended their relationship with him following accusations of harassment towards female employees. He’s also been removed as a speaker from the Waterstones Children’s Book Festival in Dundee this year.
Are popular author David Walliams and his longtime comedy collaborator, Matt Lucas, no longer working together?
I’m wondering because Lucas turned down my request to help David Walliams, and they haven’t released a new episode of their podcast, ‘Making A Scene,’ in three months.
When it first came out a year ago, advertisements announced that people could tune in or watch the program every Tuesday and Thursday.
Okay, so this show? It was EVERYTHING. Seriously, from January to October, it was on twice a week and I NEVER missed it. But then… nothing. Just silence. No new episodes since October, and they didn’t even hint it was ending! It’s like they just… stopped. I’m completely lost and desperately hoping it comes back!
In the podcast, the duo chat about their experiences with fame and the lives of their well-known friends, including comedians Stephen Merchant, Jack Whitehall, and Alan Carr, actor Timothy Spall, and TV personality Rob Rinder.

David Walliams hinted that his partnership with Matt Lucas might be finished, possibly in a playful way, during what could be their last project together.
Russell T Davies, the writer behind Doctor Who, asked them a challenging question: ‘What’s the most hurtful thing you’ve genuinely meant when arguing with each other?’
Walliams sniggered: ‘Probably when I told you [Lucas] you were funny – because we shouldn’t lie.’
Oh my gosh, can you BELIEVE he actually said that?! At the very end, David Walliams just… ended everything! He said that wasn’t just the end of this episode, but the end of us working together! Then, get this, he cheekily asked us to subscribe and leave a review, and even told us we could lie and say it was good if we didn’t like it! It was so meta and hilarious, I’m still reeling! I’ve already subscribed five times, honestly. He’s a genius!
David Walliams, 54, and Matt Lucas, 51, first became a comedy duo in the early 1990s, eventually creating the popular BBC show, Little Britain. Though they stopped working together in 2011, they recently teamed up again for a podcast. While appearing on ITV’s Lorraine Kelly show, they hinted that they might bring Little Britain back.
David Walliams firmly rejects claims of harassing female colleagues, but isn’t saying anything about whether his podcast will continue. The podcast’s production company, Platform Media, has also declined to comment on the situation.
Is that Pugh? Young star’s outfit as Little Flo-Peep
Oh my gosh, you guys, you will NOT believe this! It’s Florence Pugh, but like, a Florence you’ve never seen before. Seriously, she’s incredible in everything – Little Women, Oppenheimer, she’s an Oscar nominee for goodness sake! – and it turns out she’s always been a style icon. This photo? Proof! She’s always loved a good outfit, and I’m living for it!
The photo was taken in 2014, during her last year at St Edward’s School in Oxford, a £60,000-a-year school. Students were encouraged to dress up in costumes for a fun ‘Leavers’ photo to mark their graduation.
The restaurant owner’s thirty-year-old daughter dressed up as Little Bo-Peep for a costume event, and she really committed to the role by bringing a real sheep with her!

Students at the school, nicknamed ‘Teddies’, remember Flossie as the star of the show. Everyone was amazed that she brought a sheep with her to school.
We weren’t usually allowed to walk on the quad’s grass, so seeing a sheep there was both shocking and funny.
The sheep was said to have belonged to her family, who live in Oxford.
Following my report that Dame Ann Limb, who falsely stated she had a PhD, had resigned from the Athenaeum Club (where she was chairman until 2024), I can now share some interesting news regarding City & Guilds, an organization she still leads at age 72.
As a long-time supporter of City & Guilds, I was really concerned to hear they’re now under investigation by the Charity Commission. It’s unsettling, and on top of that, they’ve announced that our CEO, Kirstie Donnelly, and CFO, Abid Ismail, are both taking some time off work – they’re saying it’s just for a short period, but it definitely adds to the worry.
The two individuals reportedly made £1.74 million and £1.2 million, respectively, after receiving payments for selling a portion of the company. Separately, Dame Ann has been nominated for a seat in the House of Lords by Sir Keir Starmer.
The smart set’s talking about… Lord Coe girl’s polo match
Last year, Sebastian Coe made news when he attended the World Athletics Awards in Monaco with Diane Richie, the stylish former wife of Lionel Richie.
The current president of World Athletics, who is also an Olympic champion, isn’t the only one in his family who has found romance.
I heard some exciting news – Alice Coe is engaged! She’s going to marry Jack Richardson, who used to captain the England polo team.

‘He proposed on the beach in the Caribbean during a New Year’s holiday,’ a friend tells me.
Jack, a sports investment consultant, was vacationing with Alice and her family – including her father, Lord Coe, 69, and his former wife, Nicky McIrvine, 62.
Lord Coe’s partner, Diane Alexander, wasn’t present. The 58-year-old American model and fashion designer had reportedly been dating a former Conservative MP for several months. She was previously married to singer Richie for nine years before their divorce in 2004.

Rebecca ribs ‘rude’ Hollywood colleagues
Actress Rebecca Hall recently criticized actors who say they dislike watching their own performances. She believes it’s a strange claim for people in their profession.
Kate Winslet, Keira Knightley and Tom Hardy are among the many stars who insist it’s too difficult.
The actress, 43, admits she’s uncomfortable watching her own work, but feels it’s become more selfish to refuse. She explains that so many people contribute to a project, and you build relationships with them. It feels disrespectful to say you can’t watch it simply because you’re overly critical of yourself.
‘So I do watch it and get over that.’
Sir Ian ‘properly nervous’ after theatre tumble
It’s been over a year and a half since Sir Ian McKellen fell off the stage at the Noel Coward Theatre in London, breaking his wrist and chipping vertebrae. He now says the accident has made him more anxious about leaving his home.
Following an accident during a fight scene while rehearsing for the play Player Kings, the 86-year-old actor had to step down from his role as Falstaff. He explained, ‘I’m usually very careful about where I walk and always hold onto things for support. This accident has really made me realize how easily things can go wrong.’
Reflecting on his 2024 onstage fall – where he slipped and landed in an audience member’s lap – the actor shared that the incident reinforced a feeling he already had about his aging body. He explained that getting older means feeling disconnected from your physical self, like what’s happening to your body is happening to someone else, even though it’s still you. He described the experience as both complex and unpleasant.
Dobson: We’re king and Queen of clutter
Queen’s guitarist, Brian May, and his wife, actress Anita Dobson, had to leave their London home five years ago after a sewage flood caused extensive damage, ruining many precious childhood photos and keepsakes. The house, valued at £7 million, was located in Kensington.
Okay, so they have this amazing estate, 200 acres, can you believe it?! But even with all that space in Windlesham, Surrey, they’re still running out of room for all their stuff! It’s honestly a little shocking, but also… relatable? I mean, imagine having that much space and still needing more! I need to know what they’re collecting!

Anita and I are both serious hoarders,” she explained. “We have a lot of space, but even after cleaning, our rooms quickly fill up with things again, usually within a week or two.
The 76-year-old former EastEnders actor explained that people often give them gifts, which they appreciate and keep, making it difficult to consider moving to a smaller home – at least for now.
Billionaire John Caudwell has significantly reduced the price of his Knightsbridge mansion, cutting a massive £10 million off the asking price.
John Caudwell, the 73-year-old founder of Phones4U, initially put his Art Deco-style home, Fonteyn Place, on the market for £65 million in September 2024.
Located near Harrods, this house once belonged to the celebrated ballerina Dame Margot Fonteyn during her most famous years with the Royal Ballet. She often hosted guests like Princess Margaret and fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent.
Once the embassy of Panama, this property now offers luxurious living with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a home cinema, and a stunning 12-meter swimming pool complete with waterfalls. It also includes a private spa for ultimate relaxation.
How ‘destructive’ rival hurt Pascale’s career
She described her first job, which paid just £1 an hour, as doing laundry – ironing clothes and bedding. Despite the low pay, she said she always remained determined and never considered quitting.
Lorraine Pascale, a pioneering Black British model who graced the cover of American Elle, has shared some surprising details about the competitive and sometimes cutthroat world of fashion. She explains that some people in the industry were actively harmful to others.
Pascale explains that some Black models actively tried to sabotage the careers of others. Since there was usually only one Black model hired for any given job, some didn’t want to see other Black models succeed.
Pascale O’Brien, who married businessman Dennis O’Brien in 2021, is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology.
No wonder.

Romesh Ranganathan, a well-known comedian, is usually good at handling disruptions from the audience, but recently, someone managed to unsettle him without even shouting.
He remembers performing the first night at the Hammersmith Apollo when he saw a tweet during the intermission that said someone wasn’t enjoying the show at all. It completely threw him off. He says he doesn’t even remember how the rest of the performance went, he was so focused on that one negative comment and it really messed with his head.
Ant and Dec have been popular on television for over 35 years, but their accents from Newcastle, England, sometimes confuse contestants on the show ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’
Pop star Toyah, who was on the second series, claims the duo weren’t always easy to follow.
At the opening night of the play Gerry & Sewell at London’s Aldwych Theatre, Toyah explained that they had to spend mornings in the jungle, carefully listening to something and trying to understand its meaning. She said, ‘We really had to focus on what they were saying.’
