Netflix has unveiled a new trailer and first-look images for its upcoming Agatha Christie adaptation, Seven Dials. The three-part series, written by Chris Chibnall (known for Broadchurch), stars Mia McKenna Bruce (How to Have Sex), Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown), and Martin Freeman (from the Marvel Cinematic Universe). Based on Christie’s novel The Seven Dials Mystery, the show centers on a young woman from a wealthy family who becomes infatuated with a man she meets at a party—only to discover he’s been murdered soon after.
Officials told her to stop her investigation, but she’s too determined to be scared off, no matter the risk.
In England, 1925, a grand house party takes a dark turn when what seems like a harmless prank results in a deadly murder.
What to Read Next
Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent, a surprisingly curious investigator, will find herself at the center of a shocking mystery that threatens to upend her life and expose secrets within a grand country house.
Agatha Christie’s clever, exciting, and quickly unfolding story is now a thrilling new series on Netflix.

The trailer also features quick appearances by Alex Macqueen (known from The Inbetweeners), Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve), and Nabhaan Rizwan (Film Club). We also see a fleeting shot of a puzzling character wearing a hood and a clock mask – very suspicious indeed!
This story doesn’t seem to be taking itself too seriously, which is great if you prefer lighter, less intense murder mysteries. It’s worth checking out when it’s released next week.

Freeman recently discussed what made the show and its main character unique, explaining that while he wasn’t familiar with Agatha Christie growing up, the character of Bundle stood out to him because she was a much more youthful figure compared to detectives like Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot.
Chris’ writing skillfully modernizes the story, making it feel relevant and genuine without forcing it to be trendy. It maintains a fresh feel while still respecting the original time period.
Seven Dials will launch on Netflix on Thursday, 15 January.
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s a special tribute to Dolly Parton! You can find “Dolly at 80” in shops or order it online for only £8.99.
