Brittany Mahomes gets real about skin struggles while battling ‘sickness and exhaustion’ amid ‘hardest’ pregnancy yet

As a devoted fan of Patrick Mahomes and his beautiful family, I can’t help but feel a mix of admiration and empathy towards Brittany as she bravely shares her struggles with pregnancy and skin issues. Her latest Instagram post, where she reveals her ‘skin losing its mind,’ is a testament to the physical and emotional challenges that come with growing a new life.

Brittany Mahomes, wife of NFL player Patrick Mahomes, shared on Instagram recently that she’s experiencing difficulties with her skin during her current pregnancy.

A few weeks after announcing her pregnancy with baby number three, the former soccer star, aged 28, posted a raw, unfiltered selfie without makeup for her over 2 million Instagram fans, giving them an update on how she’s managing.

Despite her breakouts being hardly visible to others, the ex-athlete expressed that it felt to her as if her skin was completely losing control.

In her Boomerang post, she expressed, “This pregnancy has taken a toll on me like never before. I’ve battled nausea, fatigue, and now dealing with new skin issues.”

She continued: ‘Got an amazing facial this morning in hopes to help.’

In the recording, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s high school sweetheart appeared radiant with a smile, tilting her head slightly to the side.

Her hair was pulled back in a bun and she rocked a neon pink top under a black hoodie. 

A Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, who previously spoke openly about experiencing acne outbreaks, deals with perioral dermatitis – a health issue characterized by a red ring-like rash surrounding the mouth area.

One week ago, Brittany and Patrick held a touching gender reveal event to share the news of their third child’s gender with family and friends.

As a seasoned writer and avid fan of sports, I’ve always found the intersection of parenthood and athletic achievements intriguing. The recent announcement from the Mahomes family strikes a chord with me, as I too have experienced the joy and excitement of welcoming a new baby into the world while navigating the complexities of daily life.

Patrick assists in flipping large tiles, uncovering a series of three pink crosses and releasing a puff of pink fume, indicating that a girl is on the way.

Jackson, his younger sibling, was among the earliest to respond to the gender reveal video, exclaiming with enthusiasm: “How thrilling!”

In around 2022, after a ten-year relationship, Brittany got married to the Chiefs’ quarterback. More recently, within the past two years, they welcomed a new addition to their family – their second child.

Patrick “Bronze” Son was born on November 28, 2022, while Sterling Skye joined the family on February 20, 2021.

Last week, I couldn’t contain my excitement as I eagerly followed the news about Mahomes and his growing family. Some fellow passionate fans and I couldn’t help but notice that with the arrival of his third child, this could be a positive sign for our beloved Chiefs. After all, the team had just secured back-to-back Super Bowl victories – what a way to start the new year!

One simply commented: ‘3 kids = 3 peat’.

Another put: ‘Three Mahomes babies…good luck for our Chiefs THREE-PEAT!!!’ 

As a lifestyle expert, I’d express it this way: I’m thrilled about the upcoming addition to our family, but Mahomes and Brittany have decided that three children will complete their brood. They shared earlier this week that they’re done having kids.

He informed the media at the Chiefs’ training camp, grinning, “I’ve had my fill, I’ll tell you that. Three children is my limit for me. Yes, it’s wonderful. I’ve always desired to have children at a younger age.”

Growing up, I was fortunate enough to spend my formative years in the locker room with my father, baseball player Patrick Mahomes Sr. I’ve shared this story before, and it significantly shaped my life. Consequently, I chose to start a family early and we are now welcoming our third child into our home.

Brittany excels at handling that task, allowing us to continue living our vibrant lives and exposing our children to wonderful experiences.

According to Patrick’s statement, the young couple have managed to find time for their own adventures, as they recently went to Europe to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour together.

At one point, Mahomes played golf with Travis Kelce, who is in a relationship with Taylor Swift, in London.

The quarterback has returned to Kansas City with his team aiming for a historic third consecutive NFL title win.

He expressed that for about seven to eight months each year, he spends a significant amount of time at the building, which is associated with football. However, when he’s with his loved ones, he desires to savor those precious moments fully.
