Brittany Hockley suffered a shocking and gruesome injury on Wednesday.
In simpler terms, the 38-year-old ex-contestant from The Bachelor found herself incapable of walking when a nail penetrated her foot while she was buying coffee, wearing sandals.
Brittany posted on Instagram on Wednesday, expressing her disbelief as she faces a big photo shoot with no option to reschedule. She had gone for coffee and now has a nail deeply embedded in her foot, making it impossible to remove.
Brittany shared that she’d attempted to extract the nail, but found it stubbornly lodged. She demonstrated its depth by wobbling it on camera, which was now embedded in her foot.
She expressed her frustration by saying, “I can’t remove it; I’m stuck on the sidewalk right now because something is attached to me! I broke down crying. What on earth should I do about this?
Eventually, Brittany managed to remove the nail on her own before she sought medical attention, and she chose to share her experience with fans by providing a detailed account of it.
Whoa, unbelievable! Check out how far in that nail went!” Astonished, I exclaimed as I showed off the evidence of it being several centimeters deep in my foot.
After a strenuous workout with her husband, Benjamin Siegrist, at a Sydney gym, Brittany subsequently fainted.
She was filmed lying slumped over a table at VRTUS gym in Bondi, appearing completely spent.
In a white sweater and black workout attire, Brittany seemed worn out, casting a sorrowful gaze towards the camera and uttering a distress call: ‘I can’t.’
She then slowly zipped her white jumper over her face in apparent defeat.
The concerning video clip was posted on social media by her husband, a Swiss footballer, with a playful comment: “A lady needs help.
‘Still in vacay mode, to be honest,’ Brittany added.
He added two laughing emojis, confirming the moment was all in jest.
In June, Brittany married Swiss footballer Ben Siegrist in a clifftop ceremony in Bali.
Last week, the wedding of the couple was held at Pandawa Cliff Estate, offering a breathtaking and romantic coastal backdrop with panoramic vistas of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula and the vast Indian Ocean.
On her wedding day, Brittany walked down the aisle as the radiant bride, adorning a dress without straps designed by Steven Khalil. The gown boasted an intricate lace corset and a sweeping long train that added to its dramatic effect.
The couple offered their followers a peek at their wedding, posting two heartfelt photos from the special event on Instagram.
One showed Ben romantically embracing his new bride as he leaned in for a newlywed kiss.
‘From the very first day, it was you,’ Brittany captioned the images.
