Brittany Hockley left heartbroken by ‘burned pizza’ wedding cake after paying $1,000 for culinary eyesore: ‘We ordered from a French patisserie… and got Temu’
After spending $1,000 on an extravagant wedding cake, Brittany Hockley was devastated when the cake turned out to be a culinary catastrophe instead of the grand dessert she had expected.
37-year-old ex-Bachelor star tied the knot with Swiss soccer player Ben Siegrist in a seaside wedding on the island of Bali just recently.
At their wedding, Brittany and her genetically fortunate partner had no problems, but they turned beet red during the reception when they encountered their ‘Temu’ sponge resembling a ‘four-tiered pizza’.
On Wednesday, Brittany posted a picture of the intricate sponge she had ordered, beautifully adorned with swirls of thick white cream and a colorful layer of fresh berries, as well as another photo showing what she received, to express her disappointment.
Instead of the stunning display of berries she envisioned, the finished item looked more like a haphazard assembly of overcooked pizzas – bland, drab, and lacking creativity.

The disappointing dessert left Brittany and her guests in shock.
On their Life Uncut podcast, Brittany’s co-host, Laura Byrne, didn’t mince words as she discussed the catastrophe they encountered.
‘I kid you not, this cake looked like a four-stacked pizza,’ she began.
She went on, “It seemed as though someone stacked up four enormous, top-tier pizzas one atop the other.
‘It was covered in little cut-up strawberries which looked like tomatoes!’
‘It was like we went to a French patisserie… and got Temu!’ added Brittany.
‘We tried to cut it, but it was so burned it just crumbled everywhere.’
The presenter expressed her deep disgust towards the cake, urging the attendees not to snap any pictures of it.

Last week, the wedding of the pair was held at the breathtaking Pandawa Cliff Estate, boasting an awe-inspiring, romantic clifftop vista of the Indian Ocean and offering unforgettable vistas of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula.
On her wedding day, Brittany walked gracefully down the aisle in a beautiful strapless gown designed by Steven Khalil. The dress boasted a lace corset and an impressive long train, giving it a dramatic flair.
Brittany and Ben offered their followers a peek at their wedding by posting two affectionate photos from the special day on Instagram.
One showed Ben romantically embracing his new bride as he leaned in for a newlywed kiss.
‘From the very first day, it was you,’ Brittany captioned the images.
Over any sea, you are there. For the remainder of our lifetimes, that’s who you’ll forever be. Mr. and Mrs. Siegrist, 4.6.2025 – she emphasized this truth with affectionate heart symbols.
