Brittany Cartwright clarifies fling with ‘MARRIED’ man amid bitter divorce from Jax Taylor

Brittany Cartwright has announced she’s open to dating again following her difficult divorce from Jax Taylor.

During Friday’s Peaks & The Valley panel at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas, 36-year-old Cartwright announced she is single and asked someone to introduce her to potential partners.

She addressed rumors about a relationship with Brandon Hanson, explaining what happened after people claimed she dated him while he was still married.

Cartwright stated that Hanson and his wife were already living apart when their romantic relationship began.

It felt very fleeting. It gained popularity online much faster than expected, and looking back, I wouldn’t have shared it publicly. He was also going through a separation, just like I was – we weren’t dealing with a marriage or breaking up a family.

Okay, so I was reading about what kind of guy she’s looking for now, and honestly, it’s just so sweet. Apparently, the most important thing is that he gets along with her little Cruz – her son with Taylor, who’s four years old! It just melts my heart that she prioritizes Cruz’s happiness so much. He’s adorable, and any guy would be lucky to win both of their affections!

Cartwright said his priority is finding someone who values family and could eventually connect with his son, Cruz. He first became well-known on Vanderpump Rules alongside Taylor, and they both now star on The Valley.

She revealed she and Hanson had broken up in mid-October, just two months after they first publicly confirmed their relationship with a romantic trip to Mexico.

We were close friends before becoming a couple, and the relationship moved very quickly. It also became public much earlier than we anticipated,” she shared on her podcast, When Reality Hits with Brittany Cartwright.

She explained that while they still care for each other, the relationship ended because the distance was too difficult. Between his commitments to his three children and work, combined with living three hours apart, it simply wasn’t sustainable.

Shortly after having cosmetic surgery – a tummy tuck and breast reduction, often called a ‘mommy makeover’ – Cartwright announced her split.

She revealed on her podcast that Taylor’s hurtful comments about her appearance during their relationship – including a remark that she ‘looked like a tree trunk’ – contributed to her decision to get plastic surgery.

Cartwright shared that her previous relationship had been damaging and left her feeling insecure, so she was focused on rebuilding her self-esteem.

During the first two seasons of Cartwright’s reality show, viewers saw her marriage to Taylor fall apart. Taylor has admitted to struggling with cocaine and anger, but now says he’s sober.

Cartwright claims he was violent towards her, alleging he once threw a coffee table during an argument and hit her knee, causing it to bruise instantly.

She also alleged that he once pushed her into the rose bushes during an argument, but he denied it. She responded by saying the incident was caught on her doorbell camera, and several friends had witnessed the footage.

Taylor revealed in July that he was leaving The Valley to prioritize his recovery, mental well-being, and his relationship with his child’s other parent.

They began dating in 2015 and got married in 2019. However, in February 2024, she revealed on their podcast that they had split up.
