Britney Spears makes wild claim she’s ‘adopted a baby girl’ and reveals name… but fans are not convinced

On Sunday, Britney Spears sparked intrigue among her followers when she posted a long message suggesting she had adopted a baby girl, leading many to believe she was playing a joke or “trolling” them.

Sharing a more casual tone, Spears, famous for her playful posts on social media, shared with her followers: “Guess who just got a new family member? Meet Lennon London Spears, our stunning little bundle of joy!

It was followed by a series of winks and silly-faced emojis. 

Last December, Spears had stated that she intended to relocate to Mexico; however, it was later discovered that this statement wasn’t accurate.

In the accompanying video, the 43-year-old singer performed energetically while dressed in a sleek monokini, highlighting her distinctive dance routines and captivating the audience with her moves.

She also told fans that she has now decided to move to Italy.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Spears’ reps for comment.

However, fans were quick to suggest that the Toxic singer was just having a bit of fun with them. 

One fan commented, “It’s clear she’s referring to a new toy, either a doll or a dog, not a real person,” while another said, “She’s just joking around.

This is not the first time the Gimme Me More singer has announced she would move to another nation.

On her birthday in December, she declared that she intended to relocate to Mexico, yet it appears she hasn’t made the move. However, she frequently takes trips there for vacation.

In a previous post on July 10, some fans noticed what looked like a baby carrier in the background.

Britney Spears, known for her hit “Piece of Me,” is a mother to two teenage boys, Sean (age 19) and Jayden (age 18). These boys are shared with her former spouse, Kevin Federline.

She shared that she intends to grow her family by adopting a little girl, which she expressed enthusiastically in a now-deleted post: “I’ve made up my mind! I’m going to adopt a baby girl! This isn’t just a joke!

Despite disabling comments on her controversial post, fans on various platforms remain uncertain about the veracity of the assertions.

‘Let’s be honest, it’s probably a doll,’ one commenter wrote on Reddit. 

Another user expressed doubt, saying, ‘It seems unlikely to me. The adoption process takes time, and I’d expect we’d know more details by now. I’ll be convinced once I see the child myself.’

One fan expressed their perspective as follows: ‘I adore Britney, yet I firmly believe that she wouldn’t qualify for an adoption. Disregarding her mental health issues and inconsistent family backing, her frequent travels from one country to another would render her unsuitable for infant adoption.’ They further commented, ‘It’s hard to fathom that anyone could be so naive as to think she genuinely adopted a newborn.’

The other person mentioned that Spears has extensive financial means, implying it with the phrase, ‘Money can purchase anything, regrettably.’
