Britney Spears had an unexpected reunion with both of her sons for a sailing trip over the weekend.
On Sunday, the 44-year-old singer posted several pictures on social media of her two sons, 20-year-old Sean and 19-year-old Jayden, with whom she shares custody with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, 48.
Videos on Instagram show the young men with their mother on a boat. Her account is now set to private, so only her followers can view the content.
Britney Spears had a visit from her son Jayden earlier this month following her recent DUI arrest. She also saw Jayden around Christmas, but it seems she hasn’t seen her other son, Sean, since last year.
Britney Spears recently shared new photos featuring her children. In the pictures, she’s wearing white shorts and a short, pink, ruffled top.
Meanwhile, the brothers were dressed in white T-shirts, shorts, and sneakers.
Since being arrested for driving under the influence on March 3rd in Westlake Village, California – close to her home – Britney Spears has remained sober.
The singer of ‘Womanizer’ has been consistently going to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the Los Angeles area.
According to a source who spoke with The Daily Mail, Britney has been sharing her feelings openly in her Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, finding it a helpful and healing process.
She’s only been treating herself to expensive coffee lately. She’s really prioritizing her health and well-being so she can be fully present for her children.
The Louisiana native has been catching up on quality time with her sons lately.
Though the boys have lived in Hawaii, they have been by their mother’s side in recent weeks.
According to a source, she’s thrilled to be reconnecting with her sons, and it’s bringing her a lot of emotional comfort. She deeply loves them.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a global community where people who want to stop drinking help each other achieve sobriety. They use a program of twelve steps to guide their recovery.
This is not the first time Spears has been in AA.
In her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me, she revealed she was required to attend four meetings every week while under a 13-year conservatorship.
She explained that the legal agreement, overseen by her father Jamie Spears, severely limited her freedom.
In early March, a spokesperson for Britney Spears stated that she requires ‘help and support’ following her arrest for suspected drunk driving.
Britney Spears was arrested by the California Highway Patrol around 9:30 p.m. on March 3rd in Ventura County. She was suspected of driving under the influence and was formally processed around 3:00 a.m., then released about three hours later, around 6:00 a.m.
Following the news of her arrest, a spokesperson told the Daily Mail that the situation was regrettable and unacceptable.
Britney’s sons will be spending time with her, and her family and friends are finally creating a plan to help her thrive and focus on her well-being.
Ventura County sheriff records show Britney is scheduled to appear in court on May 4.
