Britney Spears gives hilarious review of the MTV VMAs – after getting shout outs from Sabrina Carpenter and Megan Thee Stallion

The singer known for “Baby One More Time,” aged 42 and recently encouraging fans to ‘remain kind,’ took to her Instagram on Thursday to confess that she occasionally forgets she is a celebrity.
During the live performance, not only the carpenter but also artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Tate McRae paid tribute to the Princess of Pop.
During her show at the event, the Espresso singer surprisingly performed a piece of Britney Spears’ song, “Oops!…I Did It Again,” and even shared a stage kiss with an alien character, which appears to be a nod to the iconic moment between Britney and Madonna in 2003.
In the most recent video, Britney herself confessed that she didn’t view the entire program, but caught glimpses of it on YouTube, such as Sabrina’s act.
The star inquired, “What’s going on with her kissing that extraterrestrial on stage?” However, he clarified, “I have nothing but admiration for her. She’s truly dear to me.

In an homage to Britney Spears, Megan Thee Stallion donned a similar ensemble from the pop star’s iconic 2001 VMAs performance, complete with a snake accessory.
Yet, as she put on her outfit for hosting the celebrations, the rapper felt uneasy when a big snake was placed across her shoulders.
After the advertisement break, MTV aired an old video of Spears’ legendary performance, followed by a shot of Megan wearing a similar attire, accompanied by a snake.
In the midst of a bustling gathering, the celebrity didn’t linger near the reptile for very much time and was overheard exclaiming, “Alright! Alright! Pause the music, pause the music!
She said, “I’m only pretending. Please come take this snake. I have no idea who this snake is, and it doesn’t recognize me either.” Eventually, someone did remove the snake.
Later on, the artist who sings “The Sweetest Pie” told the crowd, “I was trying to support Britney.
In the Instagram post shared on Thursday, Spears did not acknowledge Megan’s allusion to the attire or her previous act.
However, social media buzzed with opinions about Megan’s outfit, as some followers expressed hopes for a potential collaboration between the rapper and the pop star.
One wrote on X, ‘megan being terrified just makes it insane to believe a then 19-year-old Britney Spears managed to pull off performance carrying that snake/ in a cage with a tiger.’
One person wrote, “‘It’s not Megan imitating Britney, it’s more like a tribute,’ another commented, expressing their strong desire for a collaboration between the two, they even exclaimed, ‘I really wish for a Megan and Britney collaboration! They both spoke about anxiety too.’
At the red carpet event, Tate McRae drew inspiration from Britney Spears, echoing her style by donning a see-through, mini black dress reminiscent of the iconic outfit Britney wore at the 2001 VMAs.
Tate showcased her long legs in a mini black dress by Roberto Cavalli, which had a hemline just an inch or two above her knees.
Additionally, she wore black lingerie from Fleur du Mal and finished off her ensemble with a pair of open-toed black high heels.
Back in 2001, Spears notably wore a similar outfit while strutting on the VMAs red carpet.
Last year in December, McRae, often likened to Britney for her dancing talent, expressed to People magazine that such comparisons were a source of pride or honor for her.
