British singer Example forced to cancel gig just hours after performing at Glastonbury as he apologises to fans

In simpler terms, the example (a person or group) expressed regret and apologized to their supporters for canceling a concert scheduled on a Saturday evening, only a few hours following their performance at Glastonbury.

On Friday evening, the 43-year-old musician and lyricist took to the stage at Shangri-La during the renowned music event.

Following his performance, unfortunately, he had to scrap his scheduled Saturday evening appearance, which left many enthusiasts disheartened.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I myself would have been set to grace the stage at the vibrant Granite City Festival in Aberdeen, had it not been for unforeseen circumstances – that’s none other than the talented Elliot John Gleave we’re talking about!

In an announcement to his followers, the performer explained that while playing at Glastonbury, there were unforeseen audio problems which made him strain his voice more than typical.

We realized that it might not last for the entire scheduled time due to some reasons, so we decided to end the show 20 minutes early to ensure its best possible presentation at the Granite City Festival in Aberdeen later today.

After the performance concluded, I promptly departed from the location and reached Gatwick Airport by 7 o’clock in the morning. Before boarding my flight to Aberdeen, I was able to snatch a few hours of shut-eye.

‘Unfortunately when I woke up, my voice was completely gone.

I really dislike having to cancel performances because, for the last 21 years, I’ve performed in 1,534 shows, and I’ve only had to call off just 11 of them.

Making the choice was extremely tough, but I’ve come to a difficult conclusion: Scotland remains my most cherished venue for performances.

I apologize to those who had planned to meet me today, as well as to the Granite City Festival team, for any inconvenience caused.

Later, it was explained that he didn’t intend to criticize the team at Glastonbury, and mentioned he needed to recuperate for his flight back to Australia and fulfill his role as a dedicated father.

This year, the singer became a father for the third time, and for the first time, to his girlfriend, Daisy Cox.

Example shared with fans that his girlfriend delivered their baby a month ahead of schedule, introducing him as Lucas Winter Cox Gleave, or affectionately known as ‘Lukey Baby’ and ‘Gorge Lucas’. His due date was January 1st, 25th.

4 weeks early and nothing could be more ideal. It’s the best New Year’s Day gift we could ask for. His birthday will never be forgotten from now on. Mother and child are both thriving well.

In March 2023, Example disclosed that he was in a relationship with Daisy, who strongly resembles his former spouse, as the news came out.

Five months ago, the musician disclosed that his nine-year marriage to Erin, an Australian actress, had ended. Now, they are both devoted to bringing up their two boys, Evander, who is ten years old, and seven-year-old Ennio.
