As an ardent admirer of music and a dedicated follower of Cliff Richard’s illustrious career spanning over six decades, I am absolutely thrilled to hear about his upcoming Australian tour! The 84-year-old pop icon is not just a singer; he’s a timeless symbol of an era that has captivated generations. His visits to Australia have always been special events in my calendar, and the wait for his return has felt like an eternity.
British music legend Cliff Richard is heading Down Under for a series of live concerts next year.
In November 2025, the renowned 84-year-old pop star is scheduled to commence the Australian segment of his “Can’t Stop Me Now” tour in Perth.
A series of gigs in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane are set to follow.
On a thrilling YouTube post this week, I, an ardent admirer, gleefully learned that my cherished idol is embarking on a tour, marking the grand occasion of his 85th birthday!
Clad in a gray jacket bearing a zebra pattern on a white background, Richard exuded enthusiasm while announcing that it had been twelve years since his last visit to Australia.
He playfully remarked, “I’m excited to share that I’ll be embarking on a tour once more in 2025, to mark my 80th birthday – though it seems someone has already beaten me to that punchline!
‘It’s my 85th birthday… look, you can’t stop me now,’ he added.
1958 marked the first time Richard achieved a number-one hit song, and he’s set to kick off his tour in Australia, starting on November 1, 2025.
After creating a hit song with “Wired for Sound”, the artist will journey to Adelaide for a performance on November 4, and subsequently play two shows in Melbourne on November 6 and 7.
After performances in Sydney at the State Theatre on November 9th and 10th, there’s one last show scheduled in Brisbane on November 12th, marking the end of his tour.
The widely admired individual, honored with knighthood in 1995 due to his philanthropic deeds, has additionally arranged four performances in New Zealand after his concerts in Australia.
Apart from that, he has arranged for a brief concert tour across the U.K., just before Christmas 2025, which will include a performance at the colossal Royal Albert Hall in London.
Over the past six decades, this legendary singer has become particularly famous for amassing an impressive 14 chart-topping singles. Among their many memorable hits are “Living Doll,” released in 1958, and “Summer Holiday” from 1962.
His other fan favourites include the 1976 hit Devil Woman and We Don’t Talk Anymore from 1979.
In the ’80s, Richard accumulated several hits, such as the duet “Suddenly” with Olivia Newton-John and the synth-pop favorite “Wired for Sound,” which peaked at number 5 in Australia in 1981.
As one of the most successful pop stars ever, this charming artist is believed to have sold approximately 250 million copies of their records.
He first toured Australia in 1973 and last performed Down Under in 2013.
