Britain’s Got Talent line-up ‘CONFIRMED’ as Simon Cowell fills last judging seat after Bruno Tonioli slammed speculation he would be replaced

Britain's Got Talent line-up 'CONFIRMED' as Simon Cowell fills last judging seat after Bruno Tonioli slammed speculation he would be replaced

As a dedicated follower of the world of entertainment for over two decades now, I can confidently say that Bruno Tonioli’s return to Britain’s Got Talent is nothing short of a breath of fresh air. The Italian choreographer has been a staple on our screens, and his unique perspective and unpredictable nature have made the show more exciting than ever.

The position of judge Bruno Tonioli on the Britain’s Got Talent panel is said to have been secured by show producer, Simon Cowell, following his recent refutation of rumors suggesting he might be replaced.

Filming for the ITV series conflicted with Dancing with the Stars, a show Bruno, aged 68, has been a judge on since 2005.

Instead, it’s said that Simon, who is 64 years old, will likely spend a significant amount on flights for the Italian TV figure to travel back and forth.

Last year when Bruno joined Britain’s Got Talent, he brought a fresh energy to the program. Simon Cowell admired his unpredictability and felt that he made for excellent television. It appears that the audience shared this sentiment as well, based on the ratings. This information comes from a source who spoke to The Sun.

When the team started planning a makeover for BGT in 2025, they promptly informed Simon and the production team about Bruno’s existing commitment to Dancing With The Stars.

‘Simon managed to find a way to make it work. It means while a stand-in judge may be needed once or twice, Bruno remains on the show.’

According to the source, it was disclosed that going back and forth isn’t suitable for Bruno, but he cherishes both programs and remains dedicated to them.

As a lifestyle expert, I am thrilled to share that starting from September 17, I’ll be embarking on a new journey across the pond for some filming in the United States. Following that, come October, it’s back to the UK to continue my magical journey with Britain’s Got Talent!

TopMob has contacted Britain’s Got Talent’s representative for comment.

As reported by The Sun, comedian Alan Carr, aged 48, was once considered a potential replacement for someone on the show should they have to depart. However, it’s now believed that Carr is the leading candidate to step in and host the show instead.

This week, ITV announced a revamp of their program, where both Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden serve as judges.

The competition kicks off in February for a four-month stretch, and each weekend will feature live semi-final shows instead of daily installments, all compressed into one week.

After facing speculation about his absence from the upcoming series, Bruno finally responded in June.

Following the conclusion of the show in May, there was much speculation about potential changes to the panel of judges for the upcoming 18th series. This is because the audition filming, scheduled for later this year, might conflict with Dancing With The Stars.

Speaking as a lifestyle expert, allow me to share a tidbit I picked up recently. It seems that, in response to rumors of potential change, Bruno confidently asserted, ‘I’m not budging an inch! You can count on my return, with all the flair and charm.’ This was his reply when queried about the possibility of his position being in jeopardy.

Additionally, Simon put an end to the speculations by verifying that the Italian choreographer is indeed coming back the following year, although there may be a substitute due to scheduling conflicts.

On Heart Radio, the music tycoon clarified, “I wouldn’t fill his shoes. I adore Bruno on that program.”

To address the speculation, host Jamie Theakston inquired from the celebrity, “‘Let me read you a title from one of today’s papers, Simon… ‘Britain’s Got Talent may be parting ways with judge, Bruno.'”

As Simon said the headline was false, Jamie pressed: ‘Okay, well, what of that isn’t truth?’

To be completely honest, just recently I had a conversation with the production team about an unexpected scheduling conflict involving Bruno. It seems like the origin of the subsequent adjustments in our schedule remains somewhat mysterious to me.

As a die-hard fan, I can hardly contain my excitement! This year, I’m part of the team organizing the auditions, and guess who’s making an appearance? None other than him, all the way from America!

“Perhaps someone else might fill his role, I’m not sure though. Yet, I adore Bruno in this series; I think he’s absolutely fantastic.”

Fellow judge Amanda agreed as she added: ‘He brings such an amazing energy and he knows so much.’

“He certainly seems knowledgeable on the subject he discusses. In fact, he’s an exceptionally wise and kind judge. Absolutely not, I wouldn’t consider replacing him,” said Simon, emphasizing his admiration.

‘So… Bruno’s coming back?’ asked Jamie as Simon confirmed once and for all: ‘He’s coming back.’

Jamie then asked: ‘Have you approached Alan Carr?’ as Simon replied: ‘No, Amanda wants Alan.’

Jamie inquired, “What level of influence does she hold?”, to which Simon promptly responded, “None”, and Amanda exclaimed, “I don’t get a chance to contribute”.

Last year, it came out that Alan confronted Simon following his exclusion from becoming the new judge on Britain’s Got Talent.

A few days after the comedian learned he had been considered for the part that ultimately went to Bruno (without him knowing), he ran into Simon at Amanda Holden’s residence.

Funnyman Alan shared with the Mail that he had this conversation with Amanda Holden: “Next week, she mentioned she was having a party. I replied, ‘That sounds fantastic! I love it.'”

Upon entering the room, lo and behold, it’s Simon inside. Oh no. In typical fashion, I tried to lighten the mood by approaching him and jokingly remarked, “I’ve been aching my wrist from constant practice on that buzzer, only to find out you stole Bruno’s spot.”

The former Chatty Man host then mimicked: ‘Alan, that’s showbusiness.’
