On Sunday, Bristol Palin’s 15-year-old son Tripp Easton Johnston enjoyed spending quality time with his stepmother Sunny Oglesby Johnston – a couple of months after he announced his plans to move to Alaska to be nearer to his father Levi Johnston.

‘He just texted me,’ the Texan-based 34-year-old recalled on Cheryl Burke’s podcast on August 25.

He said, “Hey Mom, I won’t be returning.” That statement left me utterly shocked! Initially, I found myself responding with, “I’m heading to Alaska instead, and we’re not having this conversation!” I was enraged, beyond angry.

Bristol felt it was beneficial for her ‘best friend’ to remain, yet she acknowledged his decision to prioritize reconnecting with his father, understanding that it was what he believed was best for him.

In her own words, Palin acknowledged that it’s tough for her and her daughters, but she understands that he must foster that bond with his father to help him mature.

1) He adores Alaska deeply, spending most of his time there on hunting and fishing expeditions. Therefore, I can confidently say that this is a positive situation for him.

Every other month, the son of ex-Governor Sarah Palin (who aspires to have a second residence in Alaska) pays a visit to his place. Additionally, they communicate daily over FaceTime, both before and after school hours.

The aspiring motocross rider is also building a strong relationship with his three homeschooled half-sisters – Breeze Beretta, 12; Indy Rae, 9; and Delta Jo, 5.

This Monday will mark Sunny and 34-year-old Levi’s 12th wedding anniversary.
