Bristol Palin’s Heartbreaking Update: 35 Days of Facial Paralysis and Uncertain Future

35 days into her health predicament, Bristol Palin continues to grapple with her facial palsy challenge, yet to find victory over it.

On her Instagram post on Monday, Bristol, aged 34, disclosed her feelings of uncertainty regarding the future, explaining that she has exhausted all possible solutions in an attempt to rectify the problem at hand.

In a video shared on her Instagram Stories, she said, “If I don’t speak much, it’s less obvious.” She explained that we were now on day 35, which makes it exactly five weeks since the left side of her face became paralyzed.

Despite my efforts over the past 35 days, I haven’t managed to regain muscle movement on the left side of my body. I don’t feel much sensation there. I’ve tried everything I can think of to address this issue, but I’m unsure of what else I should do. I’ve been consistently working on finding a solution each day, yet so far, nothing has shown any improvement.

Bristol, the daughter of the ex-Alaska governor and 2008 VP nominee Sarah Palin, shared an update. On day 35, there hasn’t been any muscle movement yet, and she remains uncertain about what lies ahead.

The treatments Bristol had been attempting included acupuncture.  

She posted a photo from one of the workshops, this snap displayed numerous pins scattered across her face.

‘I have been going 4 times/week,’ she wrote in the photo. 

In January, Bristol shared on a social media platform that medical professionals hypothesized she could be experiencing Bell’s palsy, which involves temporary facial muscle paralysis or weakness, following a set of examinations due to her symptoms.

Nine days past, she awoke with an unusual feeling in her facial area. Her mouth seemed to tilt towards the left, and it felt slightly awkward. Over the next few hours, the entire left half of her face became numb and completely immobile, as she explained later on.

She said she couldn’t blink her eye and ‘definitely had no movement on the side of [her] face.’

Many well-known individuals such as George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, former contestant of ‘The Bachelorette’ Emily Maynard Johnson, and legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross have previously been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy in the past.

As a devoted follower, I am proud to share that I’m a parent to three wonderful children: my sixteen-year-old son Tripp, who I had with my former partner Levi Johnston; my nine-year-old daughter Sailor Grace and seven-year-old Atlee Bay, who are part of my life with my ex-husband Dakota Meyer.

In 2008, Bristol gained national attention due to her mother’s vice presidential bid with the late Senator John McCain (Republican nominee for President) from Arizona.

In September 2008, she was present at the Republican National Convention with Johnston. This was during a time when news broke about her pregnancy with Tripp while she was only 17 years old. This event happened as her mother gained rapid political prominence by being chosen as McCain’s running mate.
