Months before admitting to infidelity, Travis Clark shared a loving birthday message for his wife, Katie Bates.
Last fall, musician Travis, age 24, shared a video on Instagram of him and Katie on vacation. The post came as Katie celebrated a significant birthday.
‘Happy 25th to the easiest person in the world to celebrate,’ Travis said.
Travis told his partner how much he appreciated their loving and generous nature, and how they always managed to make life feel wonderful, no matter what was happening.
On Saturday, Travis publicly admitted to being unfaithful to his wife, Katie, in a post on Instagram Stories. They share two children together: two-year-old Hailey and one-year-old Harvey.
It’s difficult to say this, but I need to be honest and apologize,” Travis admitted. “I cheated on my wife. I had an affair and betrayed her trust multiple times.

Travis said he took full responsibility for his behavior in the emotional post.
‘There is no excuse for what I did,’ he said. ‘This was my failure and my responsibility alone.’
Travis made clear he was doing his best to make amends amid turbulent times in his marriage.
Travis said he was deeply sorry, admitting that no apology could fully make up for the pain he had caused her.
The husband sincerely apologized to Katie for the hurt, embarrassment, and betrayal caused by his actions.
Travis admitted that no apology could fix the pain he caused by being unfaithful to his wife.
Travis acknowledged that simply saying sorry wouldn’t fix what he’d damaged, and he knew he hadn’t earned forgiveness, nor did he feel he could ask for it.
Travis stated he’s taking responsibility for his actions by seeking help and working to become a more honest and accountable person, no matter what happens.

Okay, so Travis just released a statement, and honestly, it broke my heart a little. He basically begged everyone to give Katie space and time to deal with things privately, and honestly, that’s all she deserves. He’s asking for grace for her, and I just… I totally agree! She needs to process this on her terms, and everyone needs to respect that. I’m just so worried about her, and I hope people listen to what he’s saying.
This happened just one day after Katie shared the heartbreaking news that they had lost their third child during pregnancy.
In a heartbreaking post, Katie shared the news of her baby’s loss, telling a family member, ‘I just lost my baby,’ and writing, ‘I will spend the rest of my life missing you.’
The Bates family shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, responding to the news with, ‘It’s impossible to express how much we’re hurting. We’re all heartbroken, but we believe we’ll be reunited with this sweet child in heaven one day.’
Travis and Katie first met in 2019 and began dating in 2020. They got engaged in April 2021 and married that December.
They welcomed daughter Hailey in February of 2023 and son Harvey in September of 2024.
