Bridget Jones 4’s new trailer is coming next week
As a seasoned Bridget Jones enthusiast with over two decades of following this charming character’s tumultuous love life, I eagerly await the release of “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.” Having grown up alongside Renée Zellweger’s portrayal of the hapless yet endearing heroine, I can only imagine what it must feel like for Bridget to be a widow in her 50s.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy spoilers follow.
A new trailer for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released in just a few days.
Next Valentine’s Day, the fourth film featuring Renee Zellweger as her beloved romantic character will be released. However, as of now, no clips from the movie can be found online, though a brief sneak peek was previously displayed only in theaters.
It’s been revealed that the movie’s trailer is set to premiere on Tuesday, November 12.

Instead of revealing fresh clips for the upcoming trailer, the social media post assembled highlights from the initial three movies instead.
On the other hand, we are aware that the subject matter of the upcoming movie has been revealed, since it is adapted from Helen Fielding’s 2013 book with the same title.
In the mentioned book, it is tragic that Bridget’s spouse, Mark Darcy, has died. She skillfully navigates her roles as a mother to her two children and nurtures a budding romance with a younger gentleman.
Simultaneously, Hugh Grant, upon his return, labeled the movie as both “very sad” and “extremely humorous.” He also shared that he penned several of his own scenes in it.
He mentioned that the filmmakers desired his involvement, but in the end, they carried out an action that I found less than appealing. (This maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language.)
This book featuring Bridget Jones is simply exceptional, striking a perfect balance between humor and deep emotion. I found it incredibly amusing and heartwarming. To clarify, I only managed to finish a week’s worth of reading, but when you watch the movie, I believe you’ll be deeply touched.
Besides Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones reprising their roles as Bridget’s parents, many other original cast members are coming back too. This includes Sarah Solemani, Sally Phillips, Shirley Henderson, James Callie, and Emma Thompson.
In the new additions to the cast, Chiwetel Ejiofor takes on the role of a school teacher, while Leo Woodall portrays the previously mentioned younger character.
As a die-hard Bridget Jones fan, I’m thrilled to share that “Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy” is set to hit cinemas in the UK and Ireland on Valentine’s Day, February 14. For my fellow fans across the pond in the US, you can catch it on Paramount+!
