Bridget Jones 4 trailer exclusively debuts in cinemas
As a die-hard Bridget Jones fan who has watched her stumble through life since the early 2000s, I can hardly contain my excitement over the latest trailer for “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.” With its witty banter, charming characters, and heartwarming moments, this series has always been a comforting escape from reality – much like a glass of wine at the end of a long day.
As a longtime fan of Bridget Jones and her quirky adventures, I was thrilled to learn that a new trailer for “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” has been released exclusively for a select audience. Having grown up with Bridget, it’s exciting to see her back on the big screen after all these years. I remember laughing and crying along with her as she navigated through life, love, and self-discovery in the original trilogy. I can’t wait to see what new challenges and adventures await Bridget in this latest installment, and I have no doubt that it will be a delightful addition to the series.
Shortly following the announcement of its sequel, film enthusiasts got their first glimpse into the forthcoming production. The teaser was screened in theaters alongside the trailers for the movie “It Ends With Us.”
In the latest showing, Bridget (played by Renée Zellweger) was back on screen, managing her life as a single mom to her two kids.
Of course, the cherished character is surrounded by her old friends Sharon (Sally Phillips), Jude (Shirley Henderson), and Tom (James Callis). Yet, it came as quite a surprise to see playboy Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) stepping into the unexpected role of babysitter.
Following his absence in “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” it’s comforting to find that Daniel’s character remains largely unaltered. Joining forces with Bridget and her inquisitive offspring to mix drinks, he creatively christens the adult beverage a “dirty sprite.”
He takes a sip and declares it might just be called a “filthy bitch” instead – a cheeky nod back to one of Daniel’s notorious lines from the first movie.
The clip additionally featured Emma Thompson reprising her role as Dr Rawlings, expressing concern for a visibly stressed Bridget. As Bridget finds herself single once more, there’s speculation that Chiwetel Ejiofor and Leo Woodall could be suitors in the storyline.
In this gaming world, I’m thrilled to hop into the next chapter where Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker, and Leila Farzad have joined forces! On the other hand, it’s a delightful return for Jim Broadbent and Gemma Jones as Bridget’s beloved parents, Colin and Pamela.
The trailer follows closely after the news from yesterday, August 8th, confirming that filming has been completed.
Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy will be released on February 14, 2025.
