Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page lands “dangerously charismatic” role in new Netflix thriller

Okay, so I first noticed Regé-Jean Page way back in Waterloo Road, but Bridgerton is what really blew him up! Now, I’m super excited because he’s teaming up with Netflix again for a new, steamy thriller. Plus, he’s not just acting in it – he’s helping to produce it through his own production company, A Mighty Stranger, which is awesome!

Hancock Park is a steamy thriller about a captivating stranger who disrupts the lives of a wealthy Los Angeles family after becoming their guest in a backyard house, according to Netflix’s Tudum website.

As he gets more involved in their lives, the perfect image of this wealthy community starts to fall apart, revealing the hidden desires, lies, and fixations within one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive areas.

Details are scarce right now, but we do know who’s behind the show. Matthew Barry, known for his work on Industry and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, wrote it. Emily Brown (The Count of Monte Cristo) and Drew Comins (Yellowjackets) are also producers.

The show is still being developed, and we’ll share more information about the cast and other details once filming starts.

Regé-Jean Page left the popular show Bridgerton after its first season, having played the role of Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings.

You know, back in 2023 he explained things pretty simply. He basically said he took the job, he did it, and then moved on to other work. That was it! He even admitted he wished there was a more exciting story behind it all, but it was just straightforward work for him.

Once we completed the story, it would have been easy to get sidetracked and think, ‘Since the story went well, let’s just change direction and improvise.’ But that wasn’t the original plan.

He recently appeared in the spy thriller Black Bag, directed by Steven Soderbergh, alongside Cate Blanchett, Pierce Brosnan, and Michael Fassbender. He also has a romantic comedy, You, Me and Tuscany, coming out in the next few months.

The latest issue of Living Legends is now available, and it’s dedicated to the incredible Dolly Parton! You can find ‘Dolly at 80’ at newsagents and online for only £8.99.
