Phoebe Dynevor, known for her role in Bridgerton, stars in the new survival thriller Thrash, which is coming to Netflix. A suspenseful trailer has just been released! The movie, previously called Shiver and Beneath the Storm, was initially planned for theaters but will now premiere on the streaming service after a deal was made in January.
The movie is about a seaside town in the US that’s devastated by a huge storm, and the people there must survive as floodwaters fill with hungry sharks.
The streaming service has officially announced the movie will debut on April 10th, and they’ve just released a sneak peek!

Okay, so the trailer just dropped, and it’s seriously creepy! They’re using a really unsettling, horror-style version of ‘Baby Shark’ as the music, which is already throwing me off. We see this massive storm hitting this town, and then they introduce Lisa, played by Dynevor, who’s pregnant. It’s setting up a really tense vibe!
The floodwaters quickly surrounded her car, leaving her in a frightening situation. Things became even more desperate for the town’s residents when they realized help couldn’t reach them.

The situation becomes truly dangerous when sharks start attacking, eating some of the islanders. We then see Lisa in labor, desperately hoping her baby’s father will survive, exclaiming, “He can’t die before he even gets to take his first breath!”
Directed by Tommy Wirkola, who brought us Violent Night, Thrash features Djimon Hounsou (from A Quiet Place: Day One), Whitney Peak (known for Gossip Girl), and Alyla Browne (Furiosa) in its cast.

I was so excited for this movie to come out in July, but things changed! Sony decided to pull it from theaters and instead give the rights to Netflix, which means it’s coming out much sooner now – which is great news for us fans!
Producer Adam McKay recently shared with Deadline that the team is thrilled to be working with Netflix again on this movie.
We really enjoyed collaborating on Don’t Look Up and are excited to partner with them again for a new streaming release planned for 2026.
Thrash will stream on Netflix from 10 April.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
