As a die-hard fan of both One Piece and Bridgerton, I can hardly contain my excitement! The addition of Charithra Chandran, fresh from her captivating role in Bridgerton, to the cast of One Piece is like the perfect storm of entertainment for me. It’s as if Luffy himself has sailed into the world of high society and found a way to blend it seamlessly with pirate adventures!
One Piece season 2 has added Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran in a major role.
In the upcoming season of the anime adaption, the actress portraying Edwina Sharma in the Netflix historical series, is set to assume the character of Miss Wednesday.
Sharing some exciting updates, One Piece’s official social media posted a video featuring Chandran gleefully discussing her upcoming portrayal as the Baroque Works agent.

“Hello everyone! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been given the opportunity to be part of the cast in ‘One Piece’, and I’m deeply appreciative to Master Oda for bestowing this role, specifically Vivi, upon me.”
“I understand the significance she holds for each of you, and I’m determined to give her the best effort to honor her memory and make you all proud. Looking forward to seeing you soon!”
The update arrives following the announcement that Katey Sagal, known for her role in “Sons of Anarchy,” is set to appear on the Netflix show as Dr Kureha, while Mark Harelik from “The Morning Show” has been cast as Dr Hiriluk.
The character Kureha had been intended for Jamie Lee Curtis, as evidenced by co-showrunner Matt Owens’ obvious enthusiasm about getting the Academy Award winner involved in the project.

Unfortunately, the project couldn’t proceed as planned because of scheduling issues. In a conversation with Deadline, Becky Clements, the head of Tomorrow Studios, mentioned that Curtis has a fondness for the series.
She mentioned that due to the numerous movies and series she is already working on, our proposed production schedule doesn’t align with hers. She was eager to participate, but her prior commitments take precedence, making things rather intricate.
In 2023, when One Piece was introduced, it quickly gained massive popularity by chronicling the escapades of the Straw Hat Pirates as they pursued the legendary ‘One Piece’ treasure.
Filming for the second season commenced last month; Netflix made this announcement by sharing a sneak peek video from the set.
Currently, you can watch One Piece’s first season on Netflix. Meanwhile, Netflix also offers Seasons 1-3 of Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
